If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it?

This is a simple question. If you knew with 100% scientific certainty Extraterrestrials wrote the Bible, would you start reading it?

There has been lots of discussion here in the last few months about Ancient Aliens and the possibility that Extraterrestrials might, or might not, have had some part to play in ancient human history. But right now today, there is no conclusive proof either way. So the question remains open for the time being.

But for one minute, give the Bible the benefit of the doubt, just as an experiment!

If conclusive scientific proof the Bible was true turned up tomorrow, and all the worlds scientists all agreed that the Bible was in fact true, and written by our Extraterrestrials creators thousands of years ago, what would you do?

So pretend Aliens land on the White House Lawn and announce their return to the whole world, and provide proof that they gave us all the Bible stories. They announce that they created us and have been watching us ever since.

Would you start reading the Bible?
Would you turn to religion?
Would you turn to God?

Would you start studying the Bible in detail?
Would you continue to reject the Bible, even though you knew it was true?
Would you stand firm and proclaim your allegiance to Atheism?

Would you pretend that you always secretly believed the Bible?
Would you try to hide the fact that you may have promoted Atheism in your past?
Would you repent for your sins?

John.

I have read it. I would not pick it up again if someone told me ET wrote it. It just is not that well written, an contradicts itself more than a Steven King novel.

If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it?

Obviously a question without too much thought behind it.

If ET has been here obseving man for the last 5,000+ years, then ET is much more intelligent than us.

He would have reported about the whole world rather than just one small part of it.
It would have been better edited and not have so many contradictions. It would line up historically with other cultures better.

And probably more importantly have real live reports rather than stories written 10's and in some cases 100's of years after the event.

In other words not a chance it would be totally illogical to do so.

WinterKnight,
Yea, i would have 100% agreed with you 2 years ago. I first read the biblical Book of Revelation about 2 year ago. And i was completely lost. There isn't a single word or sentence in the Book of Revelation that makes sense. So at first reading, it sounds like complete rubbish.

But that makes no sense. Why would anyone write a book that nobody can read, and nobody can even interpret properly? You would have to be mad!

So i went looking for preachers, priests, and biblical scholars to read out Book of Revelation and interpret the book for me. If i can't understand the book, maybe the religious people can. There are tonnes of Youtube videos with preachers, priests, and biblical scholars interpreting the Book of Revelation for you. But after listening to them, they all disagree with each other too! So nobody knows what the true interpretation of the Book of Revelation really is.

But one thing that is clear in the Book of Revelation, there is some message, some interpretation, sitting behind the whole thing. But its so heavily coded, nobody can decoded yet!

The conclusion i draw from this is that the true meaning of the Book of Revelation won't be known until "they" come back and give it too us. This will happen at the final return of the Messiah, when at that stage, everyone will know who and what God really is. That is the day when we make contact with ET.

In other words, one third of the Bible will never be properly understood until "they" come back and tell us what it means. They left us the Bible as proof that it really was them that created us.

John.

No to all of the above. The day it happens I'll talk to ET direct thanks very much. You are trying to pave the way for your big announcement Johnney, we can all see that.

ET did NOT write the Bible, it was an attempt by the scribes at the time to write down the history of the Jewish race. Far too much was being handed down by word of mouth and was becoming diluted and misrepresented, old manuscripts were going missing. The Old Testament is a collection of myths, sagas, and legends, and parish records that still existed. e.g. abc begat xyz and lived 100 years etc. The New Testament is based upon relatively modern first or second hand accounts of happenings at the time.

Revelations is probably the result of someone on an early LSD trip more than anything else. However there are those that say, just supposing that the ET visit has come to an end, just supposing that someone took a human on a quick tour of the mother ship, before returning him to earth and them departing. How would that human try to describe to others his experience, in words and methods and cliches of the time?

Think on that for this weeks homework. Class dismiss.

At first reading it's rubbish, on subsequent readings, it's still rubbish. Can't find anybody that makes sense of the rubbish, that must mean aliens did it in a code that appears to be rubbish.

Johnney, are you an alien?

No he is not an alien, just someone who genuinely believes in his beliefs, and what he thinks he has found, and is trying to convince others to the same doctrine. But he keeps promising things that he can't or won't deliver, so he isn't being taken as seriously as he would like.

But one thing that is clear in the Book of Revelation, there is some message, some interpretation, sitting behind the whole thing. But its so heavily coded, nobody can decoded yet!

Perhaps he is trying to read something into it that isn't there, but he thinks it is.

Any ET returning to earth would be seen as a god. When they see how all of the worlds religions have developed based upon their last visit, they will fall apart laughing.

I've read it. Both the old and the new testament.
I've read some of the Apocrypha.

I've also read the Koran.
I haven't read the Torah, but I am familiar with some of the stories like Lillith (Adam's first wife) which originate there.
I've read some of the Bhagavad Gita.

I'm also familiar with Greek mythology, Viking mythology and Celtic Mythology and a light smattering of Egyptian theology.

Very hazy on Sumerian. I think this is a gap in my knowledge I'd like to fill.

There ya go, you didn't think that assistant Headmistresses were human did you?

But the really scary bit is that all the books and cults you mentioned generally have one thing in common. Gods from the sky, many miracles, back to the sky, never came back. Perhaps Johhneys forbears frightened them off?

Yeah maybe the Ferengi cruised through our galaxy, made some small investments
genetiforming lifeforms on earth hoping that in 6 millennia they could come
back and make a profit. Maybe they harvest the experiences of "God Fearing"
consciousness and turn those experiences into fodder for their own reality TV
experiences back home. lol.

If ET did meddle in production of the "Holy Bible" they surely would have
meddled in the "Sacred Texts" of all religions for maximum effect.

I do agree that there is a "Secret Code" that is buried at the interface
between our human collective consciousness and the "Universe". As we push
that interface further and further into the "Universe" we move closer to
being "One" with the "Universe".

Science is the only means we have to explore this divide.

Religion is simply beggaring a "God" for mercy. We're better than that.
We're "Here" and "Now".

guido.man,
The Extratreasrials that came to this planet thousands of years ago started ALL the world religions, all of them!

The Bible IS the secret code!

Johhney, the bible was an attempt by the scholoars and scribes to record history as they knew it before it got lost in the mists of time. Some of the very oldest stuff was written in the parlance of the day, and the newer stuff in rather more modern script and text. It is not in code as you keep saying. It's not an enigma machine from WWII, that needs to be deciphered. Stuff was written and described in the best way they they knew how at the time, so that others could also understand it.

If you were trying to describe something as red hot, "it shone unto like a beryl" would have been a fair description to the people of the day. "And I saw another angel come down from heaven clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire." Try describing a shuttle craft landing with vertical jets, kicking up dust, to the locals. "God spoke with a loud voice" any aircraft fixed wing or helicopter makes a loud noise taking off or landing. etc. But anyones interpretation is as good as any.

There is so secret code, just stuff written in the parlance of the time that needs to be interpreted into modern day language. You're not a secret agent with MI5 Johnney!

Your right, i'm not a secret agent with MI5. Don't be ridiculous!

Truth is, i work for Interpol, and i do occasional double agent work for the CIA. Those guys at MI5 just weren't willing to anti up the right cash!

ES99,
Why the Bible?
Because its the book that has dominated the western world for the last few thousand years. If you lived in an Islamic country, i would referencing from the Koran. If lived in a Hindu country, i might be referencing from the Bhagavad Gita.

Its all the same people, they all worked under one central government. Just they gave different texts to different peoples living in different parts of the world.

If that was true, then they must have had an ulterior motive for doing so as your statement stands, it doesn't make sense as to why.
