If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it? This is a simple question. If you knew with 100% scientific certainty Extraterrestrials wrote the Bible, would you start reading it? There has been lots of discussion here in the last few months about Ancient Aliens and the possibility that Extraterrestrials might, or might not, have had some part to play in ancient human history. But right now today, there is no conclusive proof either way. So the question remains open for the time being. But for one minute, give the Bible the benefit of the doubt, just as an experiment! If conclusive scientific proof the Bible was true turned up tomorrow, and all the worlds scientists all agreed that the Bible was in fact true, and written by our Extraterrestrials creators thousands of years ago, what would you do? So pretend Aliens land on the White House Lawn and announce their return to the whole world, and provide proof that they gave us all the Bible stories. They announce that they created us and have been watching us ever since. Would you start reading the Bible? Would you turn to religion? Would you turn to God? Would you start studying the Bible in detail? Would you continue to reject the Bible, even though you knew it was true? Would you stand firm and proclaim your allegiance to Atheism? Would you pretend that you always secretly believed the Bible? Would you try to hide the fact that you may have promoted Atheism in your past? Would you repent for your sins? John. |

I have read it. I would not pick it up again if someone told me ET wrote it. It just is not that well written, an contradicts itself more than a Steven King novel. Janice |

If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it? Obviously a question without too much thought behind it. If ET has been here obseving man for the last 5,000+ years, then ET is much more intelligent than us. He would have reported about the whole world rather than just one small part of it. It would have been better edited and not have so many contradictions. It would line up historically with other cultures better. And probably more importantly have real live reports rather than stories written 10's and in some cases 100's of years after the event. In other words not a chance it would be totally illogical to do so. |

If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it? WinterKnight, Yea, i would have 100% agreed with you 2 years ago. I first read the biblical Book of Revelation about 2 year ago. And i was completely lost. There isn't a single word or sentence in the Book of Revelation that makes sense. So at first reading, it sounds like complete rubbish. But that makes no sense. Why would anyone write a book that nobody can read, and nobody can even interpret properly? You would have to be mad! So i went looking for preachers, priests, and biblical scholars to read out Book of Revelation and interpret the book for me. If i can't understand the book, maybe the religious people can. There are tonnes of Youtube videos with preachers, priests, and biblical scholars interpreting the Book of Revelation for you. But after listening to them, they all disagree with each other too! So nobody knows what the true interpretation of the Book of Revelation really is. But one thing that is clear in the Book of Revelation, there is some message, some interpretation, sitting behind the whole thing. But its so heavily coded, nobody can decoded yet! The conclusion i draw from this is that the true meaning of the Book of Revelation won't be known until "they" come back and give it too us. This will happen at the final return of the Messiah, when at that stage, everyone will know who and what God really is. That is the day when we make contact with ET. In other words, one third of the Bible will never be properly understood until "they" come back and tell us what it means. They left us the Bible as proof that it really was them that created us. John. |

If ET wrote the Bible, would u read it? At first reading it's rubbish, on subsequent readings, it's still rubbish. Can't find anybody that makes sense of the rubbish, that must mean aliens did it in a code that appears to be rubbish. Johnney, are you an alien? I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

I've read it. Both the old and the new testament. I've read some of the Apocrypha. I've also read the Koran. I haven't read the Torah, but I am familiar with some of the stories like Lillith (Adam's first wife) which originate there. I've read some of the Bhagavad Gita. I'm also familiar with Greek mythology, Viking mythology and Celtic Mythology and a light smattering of Egyptian theology. Very hazy on Sumerian. I think this is a gap in my knowledge I'd like to fill. Reality Internet Personality |

There is so secret code, just stuff written in the parlance of the time that needs to be interpreted into modern day language. You're not a secret agent with MI5 Johnney! Chris, Your right, i'm not a secret agent with MI5. Don't be ridiculous! Truth is, i work for Interpol, and i do occasional double agent work for the CIA. Those guys at MI5 just weren't willing to anti up the right cash! Johnny English. |

Why the bible then? There are older texts. ES99, Why the Bible? Because its the book that has dominated the western world for the last few thousand years. If you lived in an Islamic country, i would referencing from the Koran. If lived in a Hindu country, i might be referencing from the Bhagavad Gita. Its all the same people, they all worked under one central government. Just they gave different texts to different peoples living in different parts of the world. John. |

Why the bible then? There are older texts. If that was true, then they must have had an ulterior motive for doing so as your statement stands, it doesn't make sense as to why. |

If that was true, then they must have had an ulterior motive for doing so as your statement stands, it doesn't make sense as to why. Sirius, They originally came here to Earth as groups, 7 different groups that all worked independently from each other. These are the 7 races of peoples on Earth today. They all knew what each of the other groups were doing, but they still worked independently from each other. But they kept in close contact. The 7 "teams" spread out around the planet on different continents. They spent thousands of years carrying out genetic engineering experiments. First they created simple life forms, then more complex multicellular life, then all the varieties of plants and animals we see today. This happened roughly between 20,000 BC and 4,000 BC. Then, in the year 4,004 BC, they genetically engineered "Adam" and put him in a garden in the East, east of Jerusalem, now modern day Iraq. They genetically engineered Adam from their own genes. But they are immortal, so they made modifications to their own genes so that Adam would not be immortal. Adam, and all of his progeny, would live mortal lives and die. They gave Adam a lifespan of about 1,000 years, and as the Bible says, Adam lived to about 960 years of age before he died. As the Bible says, they also took one of Adams ribs and genetically engineered Eve. The Book of Genesis gives the genealogy of about the first 20 or so generations of children of Adam. And sure enough, as the generations progressed, the lifespans of each successive generation got shorter. So after a few generations, the human lifespan dropped to below 120 years of age. After the Biblical flood, they dispersed the population across the face of the earth, this is why we have so many different languages today. Originally there was only one language. Because of the language difference, they gave different people different books to let them know what happened to them. These books are all the religions we know today around the world. And by the way, they never left, they have always been with us. John. |

If that was true, then they must have had an ulterior motive for doing so as your statement stands, it doesn't make sense as to why. When did they bury the fossils indicating life on Earth started before 20,000 BCE? I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |
