I knew it wouldn't last long... no, not the outage ;-)
The amazingly super-fast DL that happened the last days I mean :-(

Edit:
It seems to be better now... not as fast as before, but acceptable.

Looks like a "shorty storm", got nothing else than about 40 of those today on my dual core machine.

Getting lots of "Scheduler request failed: Timeout was reached" messages again. Around 4 in 5 Scheduler requests over the last 12 hours.

I am only receiving CUDA-tasks right now.

If so many tasks being run returns inconclusive results (not necessarily errors), what is the point of having these types of tasks downloaded right now?

How high percentage level is the server willing to accept from the users clients in total when it comes to the number of returned tasks?

Edit: Perhaps I should report the tasks I have finished up first.

And now every request for more work in the last hour has timed out.

EDIT- 6th request finally got some work. Naturally the next request timed out.

I will say the splitters are doing a remarkable job of keeping up with the shorty storm.

Not that I need any, or run much at all here on main nowadays, but has there been any explanation to why not one new AP have been split for more than 3 weeks now?

We're down to 7,491 AP results out in the field now, and it's falling with about 60 every hour.

Yeah well...

Maybe they are running them down so that they can get rid of all those stuck results and maybe put a better fix in place to stop them happening again.

Cheers.

I've heard before that there's some command or script that they can run which resets the transitioner status on ALL WUs back to a state where it has to basically start as if it is a fresh new WU, then will see that several have been reported, try to validate, then move on to purge.

That's supposed to happen automatically when the last report deadline happens, but it doesn't seem to quite work that way.

Well, the project is back early, but I can't connect with work requestws:

10/30/2012 2:44:00 PM Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable

10/30/2012 2:46:30 PM Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error

10/30/2012 2:49:49 PM Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server

Random response day..... I can connect and report okay when on NNT.

Well, the crickets show an initial spike when it came up, but now seem to be heading for another downspike. Something seems a bit off there.

Shortie storm?

The UPS on my 24 cores box is showing reduced power usage. So it looks like there are plenty of shorties to go around right now.

Is anyone able to contact the Scheduler at the moment?
For the last 5 hours the only response i've got from the Scheduler is that timeout was reached.
