Isn't that just adorable? I wonder how they painted that kitty though, doesn't look that healthy...

I read about this once a few months back, it's supposed to be a non toxic dye job, supposedly popular in Japan, although how they got a cat to go along with this short of sedation I'll never know...

A real living Pikachu, how shocking...

Isn't it?

Still it's pretty, but this is simply not something for everyone, Grace would not like it and She has some really big claws and for a big cat She can move pretty darned fast...

Don't think Happy would like it either...

Now if one could alter a cat genetically to look like this from birth, then one could have a permanent Pikachu, no fuss or muss... But alas that may take a while as their just starting on to decipher house cat DNA...

Hello Friends! Just carving a few moments out of my lunch hour to catch up on my favorite "stories"... I see it was an all cat weekend!!! Our four kittehs give that a big meow of approval.

From last Thursday to Sunday evening, Eric and I were surrogate parents. One of my sister-in-laws went out of state on a short trip, so Eric and I zipped down to Fresno to babysit our niece and nephew. This is not the first time we have had the pleasure of having the kids for an extended weekend, but every time we do this, I am filled with enormous respect and awe for those of you who parent around the clock. Eric and I are EXHAUSTED!!!

Since we don't have children of our own, Eric and I tend to live like bears. We eat when we're hungry, we sleep when we're tired, we wash clothes when Mt Laundry looks like she is going to blow her top... Being responsible for the care and feeding of little people changes that dramatically and always makes us realize that no matter how "busy" we think we are, compared to full time parents we have all the time in the world! So our hats are off to you parents. You guys rock.

Because I like to cook, I did a whole lot of simple cooking projects with the kids, including having them make dinner for their mom when she got home Sunday night. We also played basketball and hot lava moster in the Fresno heat - thank goodness we also had access to a swimming pool there! Since Eric and I both like fossils, we took the kids to to the Fossil Discovery Center of Madera. It turns out that a 3rd grader and a 6th grader are NOT too young to discuss natural vs artificial selection and to understand, in simple terms, how fossils form, but I think the kids most enjoyed seeing fossils and replicas of animals of the Pleistocene.

Suz and I saw the prettiest Tri-Color Cavalier today for sale from an elderly woman who has to move. If it weren't for Izzy's extensive medical bills, I'd have paid her cash on the spot.

Parent. We were babysitting for my brother's widow. But yes, we did return the children. Of course, I was scheduled to see nine different children at work today so I'm not feeling all that "child deprived".

For Angela & Eric's next raccoon video....

LOL! With your permission, I will have Eric use that picture the next time he posts a video of "my" raccoons on YouTube.

Forgive my ignorance, but what in the world is a "Tri-Color Cavalier"???

You have my complete and total permission. Of course Louie B. et al might not see the humor.

I think satire is exempt from copy right laws, but I suppose I should ask one of the many legal eagles around here. Hey Brad? Can I use this picture?
