Definitely picture of the week. It deserves a yard of ale.

Well, we're all moved in. Now for the month long unpacking tournament.

I see everyone's been keeping busy with their college ball. I have a new neighbor that's a die-hard Spartans fan.

Glad to be back. I've missed everyone, and their ferrets.

You actually think you are going to be done in a week? I have been in this house a few years, and we STILL have things in boxes from the move.

Yep, moving takes a lot of time. I've moved quite a few times in my life.
Hope your unpacking goes swift, Dave:)

Reality sinks in.

We have been here for 30 years, this year, and still have unpacked boxes in the loft.

But, out-of-sight out-of-mind!

Dad last moved in '53. He passed in '05. Still hadn't unpacked everything.

Trying to remember what's in the boxes in the loft?

I was bright enough to label ours when packing.

"Johns junk - box 4 of 9"

;-))

"Transistor mine" is one of the labels. "Glass knick knacks" is another. It might be about time to open the later up as the yountest is almost old enough so they will not be in constant danger...

Sure that shouldn't be 7 of 9?

LOL!!!!!!! The last time we moved, I labeled a box of decorative items "objet d′art". Eric took one look at that box, busted out laughing and said, "You know the difference between you and my mother?" I professed that I did not and Eric replied, "You both have a houseful of junk, but she calls her junk 'knick knacks'!!!"

My garage is full of knick nacks - mainly from my children who wanted somewhere to store things after University, until they needed them. That was 20+ years ago.

Full loft and garage, is going to be fun sorting and clearing when we can no longer coffin dodge ...

When We moved, before things went wrong, Dad moved US, He just called some movers and got some estimates, We didn't have to pack on our own until He'd gone, then it was card board boxes, I have My share, why, it seems some stuff was from the Garage and some didn't get unpacked cause theirs no place for it, one day I intend to replace the cardboard with translucent plastic boxes, on most items at least, some will have to stay in their boxes as their too small or would be too disorganized, like My Dad's 1400 or so slides that I inherited, one day I'll get a Kodak type slide projector, I wish one was made that could hook up to a TV though...

The last time we moved, I forgot to label the boxes! Really hard to find out then what goes where. It was only like 7 months after the accident, so my mind was somewhere else of course.
