So have Ya ever said to Him "Whats up Doc"? ;) A line straight out of Bugs Bunny...

No, but one day a few years ago Eric went to a Cal football game with one of my brothers and another friend - all proud Berkeley graduates. Those three "geniuses", a scientist, a medical doctor and an attorney, sat their sorry behinds on stadium bleachers through 4 quarters of pouring rain - only to see Cal lose. On that day I suggested that ALL THREE OF THEM return their diplomas to the university, because clearly their actions proved that they were unworthy of "all the rights and privileges appertaining thereto.”

What threw Me wasn't the icon, It was Wisconsin and Berkeley paired together. But what do I know?

Eric grew up in northern Wisconsin. He earned his bachelor's degree at UW Madison with a double major in physics and astronomy, and then he moved out to Berkeley for graduate work. Lucky for me, we ended up in a social group together! Ol' Pookers ended up finding himself a wife and a little bit later he earned his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in Astronomy. Best to have your priorities straight, don't you think? When I first met Eric's thesis chair the man snarled at me and said, "So YOU'RE the reason he hasn't been getting any work done lately." I'd never been so flattered in my life!!!

Anyway, Eric is a fan of both football teams, but I think he is more partial to the Badgers than to the Bears.

Good story...
I happen to know he be a Packer cheesehead type too.
Any chance you have a picture of him wearing the appropriate headgear?

(His fellow Wisconsinite wants to know....LOL.)

Lovely spider. Very Halloween!!! Cute canoe shot.

Eric is on Facebook, but I have decided not to be. Feel free to friend him if you wish. Just reference Seti if you think he might not know who you are. For the most part, Eric's Facebook posts are hilarious!!!

So I've noticed:) Don't go much to Facebook though, just don't find the time.

[northern Wisconsin woods accent]Golly gosh der Mark, Eric did usta have wunnah dem der cheese hats, dontchaknow...[/northern Wisconsin woods accent]

I think Eric gave his cheese hat to my brother Mark when Mark started working for Kraft. I told Eric that the stuff Mark would be peddling would only be "cheese" in the loosest definition of that word, but Eric insisted that Mark had to have a cheese hat.

I'll try to get Ol' Pookers to buy another hat the next time we are in Wisconsin, or else I'll just order one on-line and surprise him with it. Eric tries to watch all the Packer, Badger and Cal Bears football games that he can. He was sad to learn that he missed a Packer pre-season game last Thursday.

I've got a Packers long sleeve shirt, it's only good for the winter, one of these days I'll buy a Jersey that I can wear anytime, as that shirt is too warm for the so called winters in SCA...

I know for certain Eric will miss that game, but thank you for the link. I'll make sure he knows about it.

Now here's a Cat you don't see everyday...

Venus The Chimera Cat Attains Viral Fame (VIDEO)

Meet Venus, the 'two-faced' cat who's taken the Internet by storm.

Her face is divided between black and calico as perfectly as if it was drawn with a ruler, and she has heterochromia, which means that her eyes are different colors -- in this case blue and green.

"This little split face cat looked like a combo of the 2 cats I currently had (and still have)," says Venus's owner on the cat's Facebook page. "As tiny as she is she likes to pick the giant pieces of food from the dog food bowl rather than eat her cat food and when the dogs come up she looks at them like ‘um yeah don’t even think about it.’ She’s the smallest animal of 5 but rules roost & doesn’t take any crap from the other animals."

Venus, who is known as a chimera cat because of her genetic composition, went viral earlier this month when someone posted a photo to social news site Reddit. A few days later, the cat was a bona fide internet celebrity, according to lifewithcats.tv. Venus's Facebook page has already gained over 14,000 fans in less than two weeks.

"She's as sweet as can be....gentle, loving, and has this little tiny kitten like "meow" even though she is 3 now. She acts like a big baby in the way that she loves to be babied. She doesn't bother any furniture with her claws and uses a scratching post. She does not have one single bad habits......she's perfect!" says a post on Venus's Facebook page.

Were they not also known as a 'working man's cap' as an affront to the big boss men? Or am I mistaken?
