Message 1263490 - Posted: 22 Jul 2012, 21:14:03 UTC - in response to Message 1263167.

The important thing is of regardless of when or if the cord breaks, the Raccoon will have access to the food.

But shall he ever get there?

Some do not understand the implications of the mathematical question.

Everthing is in play......the beam, it's weight, the fact that is anchored on one end. The angle of the supporting chord....this has a bearing. We have to assume that the midweight of hungry Rocky raccoon is as pictu
I do not, myself have the mathematical knowledge to solve the problem.
I only know the things that play into it.

The equation is actually much simpler.

Raccon+Food=Raccoon eating. Obstacle=bypassed.

First heard that about forty something years ago.

Last applied it a few hours ago when trying to sort the door to the office aircon system control box)

Door sorted, aircon now working better than ever... maintenance crew have been "donated" a different problem to the one they were scheduled to fix.

microfiltered milk, for God's sake.
Yes, you take out all the bacteria etc. that can spoil milk, but you do take out some of the larger milk ingredients too - not that the milk you get out of a bottle or canister has much to do with what comes out of a cows udder anyway. No, you don't want to know.

Nope never had milk straight from a cow, it was either from a bottle later in life or from a more natural source when I was a baby... Today I don't drink milk as I really can't afford that or cereal for that matter...

I once tried milk directly from the cow but I thought it tasted nasty. I'd rather have the milk from the supermarket.

But it has all the good stuff in it.
Just put it in the fridge for an hour.

The most important aspect is knowing the difference between a cow and a bull before you start.
