I just don't feel like defending something that I don't think I can win, so I'll abdicate, give it to someone else, as I doubt I had even one that was any good, as I'm not Angela, cause it doesn't come easy for Me, tonight I'm a vacuum.

I see the raining pun king will remain in place until all of us stop having so much wet work.

I myself (for a positive change) am getting flooded at work. The chances of me being here for a Friday 9pm pacific/12am eastern meeting are pretty dry for probably a couple of months.

(Disney movie fans, please feel free to buy a special edition Disney Blu-Ray hardcover copy of 'Cinderella' or others, there is nothing watered down about these beautiful hardcover book/Blu-Ray cases.)

Welcome back Angela, I hope you had a great vacation.

As far as tonight goes I will be working. Its mandatory untill we catch up on a $1 million back order. Seems the bean counters dont believe in keeping a modest inventory just in case they get an order. And here for the last few months we have had machines down with no jobs to do.

I think its a plot to ruin the rest of our dog days of summer.

If the bean counters were fire TYrants, Id gladly be a dog.

So the crown is up for grabs.

Sounds a lot like where I work, James. Seems like they're always throwing "hot" work at me at the last minute. Example: it's 3pm, & I leave at 4:30pm and they give me a "hot" kit (short-to-ship) of 96 pcs and they say it's gotta be out today (and, no, I can't stay over to get them done because the PLC on the machine is programmed to shut the heater off at 4:30pm)!
This particular 'kit' takes over an hour just to prep it for the machine (Juki CNC Selective Soldering Machine), and about 25-30 mins to run; then, I have to depanel the boards, take them to the Assembly area & sand the corners so they'll fit in their boxes after they're potted, then send them to the Test area. After they're tested, they're potted, & the potting takes 24-30 hours to 'cure' before they can be boxed for shipping.

Seeing as no active punning is going on a little thread drift is ok.
I operate Mori Sekie and Mazac CNC machines. We have a model shop that does prototype and small runs. But we have been doing setups that take over an 8 hour shift to run 50 parts. I think bean counters are stupid.

Nice pun but I more to thinking STUPIDvision. Its where someone who has no idea of what your job intails who tells you how to do it and by when.

I'm in the process of learning about 3d printing, for the purpose of building myself an amateur 3d printer called a RepRap.

I'm looking forward to this, my main goal is to be able to simply manufacture a few plastic parts for myself here and there. I also have a short school and work history in machining, CNC, and machine building.

As far as STUPIDivisors, I know that feeling. I think anyone with many years in any trade/profession starts to run into this problem with their supervisors. I do my best to not let it bother me, luckily I am fortunate enough to just be 'left-alone' about 95% of the time. (I think it's my bright and cheery personality at work that makes this possible) ;-)

I cnC I almost forgot to include a pun, (no matter how lame).

Then you would probably enjoy this clip, if you have never seen it before...
The clip is about 10 minutes.

Matsuura CNC machining a V8 motor block out of a solid piece of aluminum.
Amazing feat, at least to me.

Hi Friends,

I need to help a neighbor with something right now and I will be gone for 30 to 40 minutes. Start without me if you want. I'll be back when I can.

Sorry, Angie, I have had other devils to deal with tonight, and they were not pretty. Very bad things.

Punning was the last on my list. Hope you understand.
