Lori had a blood test Monday, which indicated her anemia due to the chemo has gotten a bit worse. This explains her extreme fatigue. They have now added Procrit to her drug regimen, in an attempt to curb the anemia. Looking at all the warnings, contraindications, and side effects of this drug on their website is a scary read. I can only hope that it does it's work as intended and can give Lori a bit of a boost in her flagging energy. And there are no unintended consequences. The weekly blood tests will continue to monitor her progress on the anemia and other important stats. And another viral count in 3-4 weeks to check on the main objective. This is gonna be a very long, long 8 months coming up. And if it's bad for me, you can only imagine what she is going through. And through it all, she is still trying to keep up with her bank accounting job, which was very stressful even before her treatment started. I just don't know how she does it, or how long she can maintain it. Keep the prayers coming folks. It isn't getting any easier. Mark "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." With those drug leaflets keep in mind that anything a patient ever mentions while the drug is in clinical trails has to go on the leaflet. It doesn't matter if he has a headache from too much vodka, cmae up vomiting from food poisoning or is so old he is taking 15 other drugs not to mention self medication and has side effects from those. Don't take the leaflets too seriously. if it's on the 'very often' scale it's probbaly real. and always check the contraindications, doctors sometimes miss you're taking something on that list.
