If I use the web or work with my files, I would like to turn off the CUDA-option. But when finished working, I would turn it on again. But my monitor card has a built-in fan. The software is set to run these CUDA tasks anyway if no keyboard or mouse activity is being detected. Last night, when I only was sitting here doing nothing, the noise coming from the monitor card fan became quite a bit of nuisance before I pushed the mouse. In Preferences, the "Only after computer has been idle for" is set to 3,00 minutes. The box is inactive if the "Use GPU while computer is in use" is set. Of course, I could choose not to download any CUDA-based tasks by means of setting that option using my Seti-account preferences, but that not is really what I not want to do. Could I try setting 0,00 minutes in that box rather than 3,00 minutes? Would this change work with that number? ID: 1178639 ·
