Since two weeks ago one of the pc´s that I have working in seti (the one in my workplace) shows this message and cannot upload or download any task. All the others pc´s I have on the seti proyect (at home and at the University) work fine. I have read in internet that it is a problem of the web page server, that does not answer in time, not of my pc, but so far I know the proyect page servers go ok and my others pc´s don´t have any problem. Any help? Edtemp |

I am having same problem. I even reset the project which deleted all 4 finished tasks. But I am still not able to get any new work. I get the same message:"internet ok - project servers may be down". I went on another forum but have not gotten any answers yet, and that was a week ago. I have not been able to contact / get new tasks since Oct 5. |

What means "Doesn't work"? What did you read? What did you try (where and how)? Â ![]() ![]() Â |

I went to the link you wrote and put in my boinc manager the proxy you said in message nr. 1162919 (174.137.184.36:8080), instead of the proxy recommended in my work place. Then I get the message "Boinc can´t access intenet, check connection-proxy configuration" instead. Thanks, Edtemp |

The complete message I receive with the proxy recommended in workplace is "scheduler request failed: HTTP gateway timeout" Edtemp |

Yes, that's normal, isn't it? Your work will have its own proxy server between their internal network and the internet. You can't just go fill in a new proxy server, as you have no direct internet connection. If anything you'd have to tell the work proxy server about the proxy server you want to use, as the work proxy server gives access to the internet. So for you using a different proxy server will not work. Ask your IT department for more help on this, letting them know that Seti's ISP Hurricane Electric is dropping these connections, that a fix is underway, but that in the mean time you may want to use a different proxy address. Of course, if your work doesn't know about your BOINC use, then all bets are off. |

I seems that I will have to wait for that fix. My local work departmente knows the use I do of Boinc and there is no problem about that, but they don´t have (or do not know) any other proxy to use in the meantime. Thanks, EdTemp |

Since early in the morning of today Thursday 20th. Madrid time) my boinc in work came back to normality, using my usual proxy. I presume that there has been some change in seti project servers. Thanks to all that answered this post. EdTemp |
