This machine is working on 8 units simultaneously, just under 2 hrs per unit. Does this sound about right? A nice speed, I run mine still stock. Should change the (stock)Cooler! Depends on the A(ngle).R(ange) and if Gaussians are looked for and found, usually these have an AR of ~0.4. You can look this up in 'your account, computer, tasks, etc. A VLAR(~0.01AR), takes longer, but can also be computed on ATI GPUs. |

My 5 systems with i7-860s running 8 at a time run about 2.5 hours per task. I'm not sure how the performance scales, but < 2 hours sounds good to me. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

My 2600K in a Z68 Mobo is doing them in 1 hour 20 minutes. With 6 CPUs running and 1 GPU(550Ti). Running at 3800MHz. And it does its cycling thing, going from 3800MHz to 1600MHz. I run SETI about 4 hours a day. Dull |
