Winning on a sunshine day with no wind. It will be a nice day to meet friends, if that is around.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Unless it is a 5 point plus, I don't share the Rock and Roll Ang and Eric get.

We just had a nice little 3.6-er here in the SF Bay Area about 10 minutes ago.

Winning because my house hasn't collapsed yet...

Ah, a knee trembler.

Great for dusting the shelves, but not much else (both of which are "good")

The Tree trimmers are here again, topping more trees. Of course My right Knee has been acting up for the last few days. Oh and that's 116 miles from where I live, I never felt It as It was too far away.

I read that all the great rivers of the world flow down fault lines. I live four miles or so from the North Saskatchewan river.

I doubt that is true, water just likes to gather at the lowest point possible.

Sounds delusional almost, I'm a fair man, My word is good and I'm no liar. I'm around a lot, Why? I'm disabled and largely unable to do much, besides surf the net, listen/watch TV(FREE OTA), pet My cat or watch life go by on the nearby Freeway out in a heated desert with a car that has no working A/C as It has a leak under the dash, My limited income has more important tasks to accomplish right now, There's lots of subjects here at S@H and I post from time to time, so what of It? I just have lots of time to kill. I'm not going any farther as It could be shifted into politics, so drop It please.

I'm 51yrs old and at this age I can say this If I want to: So what?

But many of those low points lie on or close to fault lines.

All the major mountain ranges of the world were caused by the collision of tectonic plates, and most of the major rivers of the world flow out of or along the edges of those mountain ranges. And then there are the Rift valleys....

Continental Drift exists(Plate Tectonics), Crustal rock floats on hot Mantle rock, Rivers are rarely on or near fault lines, the Rockies are in the middle of a Continent as are the major rivers of the USA and Canada. Believe It or not New Zealand is considered a Continent unto itself as It has shelves of its own as most of It's landmass is below sea level. Some might say Antarctica is all ice covered and except for Penguins and maybe some lichen is barren, of course for one part of Antarctica this is not true as one part of that continent is full of plants and animal life, but then Tasmania was dragged north by Australia at one time. The net is one vast encyclopedia and news source...

We were talking about this when I was on a two hundred level geography course at the University of Alberta. The same process that makes the Mariana Trench in the ocean also makes low spots on the land where rivers tend to flow. A good example would be the St. Lawrence river, or the Mississippi river. (Is that the Misterssippi?)
