I've been told on a couple occasions that I don't have enough vices.

I quit smoking around 1998. I can't stand the taste of beer, and I don't drink often, if at all. I don't drink coffee except on rare occasions, and even then I fill half the cup with milk and add loads of sugar. I don't use drugs except my stomach pills and my allergy pills.

But I do love the smell of coffee grounds or freshly brewed coffee.

A coworker of mine spent many days and iterations determining the best combination of grounds, water and time to make the perfect pot of French Press coffee. He took detailed notes and requested feedback from those of us in the "coffee circle". He finally determined that for just about any variety the formula of 1 tablespoon of grounds per 6 ounces of water steeped for 4 minutes exactly produced the perfect cup. I then pointed out to him with some irony that the markings on the side of the Starbucks branded french press that we used were calibrated to that formula.

He was not amused...

I will say that properly made french-press coffee is an elixir unparalleled in God's creation... Except for a good single-malt scotch... :-)

If it stays with cafeine Celt Tooth then there ain t no problem I guess.
For me it s cafeine and nicotine that does it. The latter is a bad habit...

I don't know how we did it, but Long Sufferin' Marie quit smoking eight years ago or so. I think it was the fact that we did not want to let each other down.
