Spotted in a post from another project's forum ...

My neighbor took some peppers and seeds and made a spray and sprayed his garden with it, the raccoons and possums stopped coming by after that!

One of my neighbours was vexed by dogs using the strip of grass in front of his house. He went out every dry day and spread cyan pepper on the grass.
The dogs started refusing to even walk there.

Yeah, Cayenne pepper that does sound like hot stuff, Dogs being scent oriented might not like the old sniffer getting a whiff of that, Here I only have large gravel, Loose dogs aren't a problem of course, As animal control comes through here from time to time and We're a bit isolated out here in the desert, Even though We are close to a freeway.

In our little country town there are laws, but no police forces anywhere near to us. Most times if there are problems people talk it over. I think everyone in town knew in two days what had happened, and on the third day the dog owner who was responsible started walking his dog with a plastic shopping bag in his left hand.
The problem was solved, no need to call up the RCMP. Best to let them catch the real crocks.

Yeah, This isn't something for the Mounties I'd think, Here County Animal Control is looking for strays and dogs without a license, But they can't be called directly as It needs a police officer/sheriffs deputy to call for them here. Like I think I said though, Strays are rare here, But they do wander in, As the economy has resulted in a good amount of abandoned Cats and Dogs, Grace I think was abandoned, After being abandoned She was a stray cat for a while, Then a shelter took Her in and then I got Her and She's lucky as She's in excellent shape, She has a few quirks in Her behavior from being a stray, But I've gotten around most of them, So I just have to vacuum a bit more as She's a Sheddar... But then She has thick Black/White fur, even on Her tail, Which almost always looks puffed out and when Her tail is puffed out, It looks bigger still.

You must be good people to be kind enough to save that little animals life. Our Fryja cat is in winter coat, so she needs a brush and a comb at least twice a week.

Compared to a bath, combing is breeze.

Heh.. worth quoting(cleaned up version)

What is the difference between a wet raccoon, and Donald Trumps hair?

The wet raccoon does not have 7 billion dollars in the bank.
