I just add the 2nd GTX to my top rig ID: 5725752, and yes the old problem with restart is here again. The machine working perfectly 24/7 with 2 GTX295 and 1 GTX285. When I add one more GTX285 the machine restarts after 5-6 minutes. I tried to reinstall drivers with new ones but nothing. Change the place of the cards, nothing. Update bios, nothing again. Power supply is not an option, because I have 3 working together. One Thermaltake 1500w, and 2 modular 650w. Motherboard is the Asus P6T7 WS SuperComputer. Slot is not fault because I have 7 slots to try, and at the past I was working together 4 gtx285. And yes I tried more than one GTX285. Anyone? |

If it that regular I would suspect am "Over Temp." The shutdown is a protection restart. The suspect would be North/Southbridge on the Motherboard. Regards Please consider a Donation to the Seti Project. |

Seems to me like a bad joke, pulling power from an slot on the Mobo. I think you have it backwards, this plugs into a lead from the PS and puts it on the MB. SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |

I don’t think it is the slot or the power supply because at the past I used 4 GTX 285 at the same time. I already change the vga to another slot and another power source, and is happening the same thing. I think that something is happening with Boinc. I think the program itself cannot work with this kind of mixing, I mean 2 GTX 295 and 2 GTX285, at the same time. |

[/quote] your 1500 watt should be sufficient all by its self for this configuration. my oc'd i7 @ 4.2ghz with three 295's pulls about 1100 watts (1050 average) from the wall, powered by a single thermaltake toughpower 1200 watt ps. with three power supplies please make sure you bond the grounds together to prevent weird currents flowing thru the motherboard. |

The funny thing is that I played Counter Strike ïŠ for half an hour, with all those cards on and the machine does not restart. That’s why I told about the faulty Boinc. |

CS doesnt really stress a modern GPU. my GPU easily plays CS without getting less than 100 FPS even with smoke being used. Seti will stress your GPU. I recommend getting GPUz and allow it to run while you play CS. Check the average temperature. Then start crunching Seti. I bet the temps go way up In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
