Uhm...i'm a little confused now. I believe the 11% that the campus takes from the donations is correct. And quite a bargain at that...... It would cost significantly more if the project had to front all of the costs they incur up front. Much more. ____________ ****** "Ask not, what your kitty can do for you. Make sure to direct your Gift to go to SETI or it goes into the general college fund to be divided equally between Departments if I remember correctly.

I had to give again, worked over 70 hours last week so the overtime looked real good.

That sounds like the credit card merchant fee! Here is exactly what I was told by someone at the Gifts Administration Help Desk: 2.5% of any gift given to the SETI program is taken out as a gift fee. Those fees do go back to SETI, however, to help administer and run their program. So, on a $20 gift, there would be a 50 cent gift fee. Seems pretty forthright to me...I'll callback next week and confirm ____________

At the risk of hi-jacking Mark's thread, every penny helps... even $5 helps the bottom line.

It looks like Oscar will be getting a sibling for the holidays (I hope that's all he ever wanted). :-) Justin Go Huskers! ____________

I really look forward to hearing that the servers have been specced and ordered.

I really look forward to hearing that the servers have been specced and ordered. A little bird told the kitties that Oscar was actually ordered this week. Takes campus purchasing a week or so to process the paperwork and cut the purchase order, and then delivery time from the vendor, etc.. Not sure what the final specs as ordered were decided on. ____________ ****** "Ask not, what your kitty can do for you. Ask what you can do for your kitty." As it is kitten, so shall it be done.
