Nivida has released its latest version 258.96 today. Adds support for the GTX460.

When I had Vista Business (32-bit), my EVGA GTS250 had compute errors with CUDA. But on the other hand I have not had any problems with CUDA ( compute error or otherwise) with any of the NIVIDA versions since I went to Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) which I installed as soon as it went prod.

That is good to know, I have installed the latest driver but am not able to get any cuda work at the moment as I have reached my limit due to the large number of tasks that I reported with computation errors.

Once that clears up and I can get CUDA work again then I will see if it makes a difference. Am awaiting some new tubing for my watercooling loop to be able to add the old graphics card that I had, to at least do some cuda work if the GTS250 is still not playing right.

have been running the new drivers all morning, it may just be me but it looks like I'm getting better utilisation from my two cards.
My GT260 is now hovering around 65% usage, up from around 50% and my 240 is hitting around 85% usage up from about 70%....
using Win7 64 and Jasons 32f Cuda 3.0 build

These seem a bit faster than 257.21 with GTX 470. Using 6.10 client, Fermi build.
But it may be only me also.

I just installed this new version.
WU's take about 20-22 minutes with the old version (3 at a time).

You are using different client, which continues to show your shaders clock at 810 MHz, weird.

Well, the new drivers did one thing for sure:

My Watt meter went from 398Watt avg to 419Watt.
That's a sign the cores are used beter than before.

And the results seem to crunch a bit faster, I think about 30-60 seconds.

Those 30-60 seconds are for 3 WU's at a time :P
So for a single WU this would be around 10-20 seconds...
They did 21 minutes avg...

I'll run a benchmark with my reference WU that took 3m15 seconds with the old drivers (avg of 3 passes yesterday).

Update: average of 3 passes with new drivers is 3m08 seconds. So it looks a bit faster :) So it's not only my Watt meter :P

Likewise, upgraded mine last night, noticeable speedup here (WinXP32, stock Fermi v6.10 app), also at GPUGrid.

No problems observed. Seems a worthwhile upgrade.

I had a problem, My QX6700 would only process WU's on half of Its 4 cpu cores under XP x64, I went back to 257.15 and all is well. Strange.

My last attempt may have been the 850w Corsair psu I was using, which was failing as I'd pushed It to the limit I guess, Now that I have the 1050w Enermax psu in place I'll try 258.96 again soon. Also the 850w psu near the end made nine #1 errors, none since the psu swap, On the BFG 295 card according to BoincTasks 0.66.
