Thx Rebest....wife is off too so we'll be off visiting some friends tmrw then I get to setup my nephew's laptop tmrw night. With my corp discount, we get great rates so we buy each niece/nephew laptops for their High School graduations.

Everyone wins.

I did not have many nieces or nephews, so I bought them cars for their HS graduation presents.

Evening all.

Tired this evening, did a lot of driving today from Death Valley to Lee Vining where I currently am, including several scenic tours around Death Valley & Mammoth on the way. Then, as if that wasn't enough, went for a walk around the South area of Mono lake when we got here.

Just been for a steak though, so definately winning!

Glad you are ok. I was worried about you, since you mentioned the car problems. I remember that stretch of HWY like it was yesterday, instead of 20 yrs ago.

The Brake fault only occured once today - and it's changed in that the brakes get stuck on and only release several seconds after taking your foot off the pedal. Got used to it now ;) Really hate the driving postition in this car too! Moan moan moan!

Tomorrow we're going to Bodie in the morning, then Yosemite for the rest of the day. No hiking tomorrow though as the heat has got to my feet and I have a HUGE blister on my left foot :(

San Fran soon - and lots to get through. Movie Tour's, Alcatraz and of course the BBQ with yourself, Angela & Eric +1 who's name escapes me!

I think next time some hiking boots might be in order and thick socks maybe.

Glad Your ok, Enjoy Yosemite, My parents and I back in the 60's would go there in out car while pulling a Scotsman travel trailer and watch the firefall, Which is now history due to fire concerns.

Nah, I've done no hiking on this holiday, just walking to & from the car / hotels & around theme parks. I have blood pressure troubles, which makes my feet swell and blister. Less is best on my feet. Thick socks would aggravate them more.

I'd look a bit of a dick walking around Disney in hiking boots though ;)

My feet will get better, they always do - just need a few days rest, which won't be happening until I get back to England ;) I don't go back to work for another week after I return home, yay!

Yep, A Vacation to fix You up from Your Vacation.

Tonight I watched a Basketball Game, From Start to Finish on TV and Yes the LA Lakers won the game and the Trophy by only 4 points, It was a very good game. Final Score: 83 Lakers - 79 Celtics. Now Bostons Police Chief gets to pound the Los Angeles beat for I think a Day and LA could use the free help. :D

Did someone say Bodie?
That is miles of walking and at altitude. Check with the visitor center about the tour of the closed off section. IIRC the last tour is early. You don't want to miss it by not knowing about it. Make sure you take care of that blister! And I'm not sure I'd want to take a balky car on the dirt road there.

Have fun.
