You would think we would have better things to do with our time than to write a million messages that are looked at once and then never again. Fortunately I've developed an algorithm that will compress any file down to just 1 bit in size, so I can save all the messages. Now to start working on a decompression routine......  ID: 999334 · |

On my second computer job I worked with a disk drive would not only check the data for errors but would provide correction data to correct the error. It would check 2000 bytes of data and the error check code took 32 bits of information to correct up to an 11 bit burst error. Just 1 bit? We have been out done. ID: 999336 · |

Just noticed that we are about to see message board id 1000000. Sort of brings back fond memories of mastering the PacMan maze patterns and playing for hours in hopes of seeing if the score would show 1,000,000 or roll back to all zeros. What's the sense about if we have 1,000,000 messages in this forum? The person which made the 1,000,000 message win a washing machine? I would like to have a 1,000,000 RAC. :o)

Don't know about a washer, but a couple beers would be cool as long as they aren't Ice House, stuff tore me up yesterday. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound!
