Is it just me or do others find the idea of crunching farms working on climate prediction somewhere between amusing & puzzling :) {:

In all seriousness - I'd think the positives greatly outweigh the negatives in that sense. Yes, computers use electricity, but it's either thousands of computers or one supercomputer with electricity needs in the megawatts...

Then again. This small farm is powered completely by renewable energy and will soon be powered by home generated renewable energy.

If anyone is interested in buying s wind turbine, PM me.
- Luke.

Luke, almost impossible to install wind turbines, in the Netherlands, you'll never get the permission to build one, in (the neighbourhood of) a city.
Solar panels and radiators to heat water. Even if you "own" a piece of land, no way they'll let you put down a wind turbine.
Strange politics.....

But KPN can put their masts just about anywhere, while Rotterdam can change the street first and worry about those pesky light-masts later on... ;-)

Very amusing. We had a similar situation here a few years ago, when a nearby street was widened. The various work crews got their schedules mixed up, and the extra pavement was added before the power poles were moved. For about a month we had three power poles a meter into the street. With nice warning signs on each one.
