I also have been away from the boards for a while, did not know you were ill, glad you are doing better. When I read your post, I was wondering how one would get a mailbox to synchronise. I was thinking of my mailbox setting outside by my driveway.

I don't have either type, I do have a Post Office box in town of course, Oh and Good Morning all.

It's the 15th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing of the Murrah Federal Building by a Domestic Terrorist. Clinton is right, The Republican Party needs to stop the caustic Anti-Government rhetoric as this is what happened cause of that... 168 Men, Women and Children died that day...

Perhaps the government should stop stealing from the people and no one would feel slighted by it ... of course it can't be that simple ...

If they were stealing, You could charge them with grand theft, Since It isn't You can't, It's perfectly legal, It's in the Constitution and the Amendments to the Constitution of which all American Citizens are obligated to obey, As they are there in the Commerce clause, The power to tax and spend, Granted by the original signers and ratified by every last state to enter the Union before entry, Once in, U can't leave.

After all You can't enjoy the Benefits of being a Citizen without obeying the law of the land.

Of course if people didn't try and live beyond their ability and weren't so much in debt trying to do so, Then the taxes would be a different matter I'd think.

4 out of 5 don't trust the government.

That's an 80% disapproval rating. And they wonder why they are in the cross hairs? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, but a government employee can't!

USA Today wrote:
About half say they want a smaller government with fewer services, compared with roughly 40% who want a bigger government providing more. Still, a majority supported the Obama administration exerting greater control over the economy during the recession.

"Trust in government rarely gets this low," said Andrew Kohut, director of the nonpartisan center that conducted the survey. "Some of it's backlash against Obama. But there are a lot of other things going on."

And, he added: "Politics has poisoned the well."

It doesn't help matters when Republican higher ups egg on those who who are delusional like Stark or McVeigh, Who are Terrorists(Dead ones too), I mean whos side are the top Republicans on? the Terrorists or the US People?

that 50% seems to want weaker Government, One that can't protect them from abuses from the arrogant Wall Street types, Yet President Obama and the Democratic party are trying to do just that.

Well maybe if everyone didnt think they needed to make 150% profit overnight on stocks and bonds, things would be different.

I love statistics. I minored in statistics in grad school. A good statistician can prove just about anything using the same set of raw data.

History is a much better way to predict the future. We are, after all, a rather predictable lot. The best indicator of public mood was articulated by one crazy cajun named James Carville. "It's the economy, stupid!"

Don't believe me? Ask the only US President in modern history to boast a 90% approval rating and then go on to lose re-election.

And 7 years later It was 25%, The 3rd lowest(Truman was at 22%), Only Fuhrer Arnold(13%) and the California Legislator(12%) are lower I think.

Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich would qualify for the lowest approval rating sweepstakes...His rating bottomed out at 8% approval...Now he's been kicked out of office and has the Feds breathing down his neck.
