I use the optimized AP clients ap_5.03r112_SSE3.exe and ap_5.05r168_SSE3.exe. These worked well a year or so ago. Recently, when Seti began sending out AP work unit again, these clients error out after a few seconds on all my computers. Does anyone know what could be wrong? |

BlackLuke, You may be running the wrong app for the newer AP units. The new installer gave me this APP... <name>ap_5.05r339_SSE.exe</name>. Try running the installer from lunatics and see if it gives you that one. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

BlackLuke, The only app for Astropulse I can find on the Lunatics site is for r168. Can you tell me where to find the r339 client? |

I'm having trouble finding these WU's can you give us a link or 3 so we can find them I think skildude was speaking about links to the errored work units, not the application. You find these links on the online page for Your results (there's a button on the Tasks tab in BOINC manager). Gruß, Gundolf |

Of all the APs he's been sent, I can find only one that's got an error: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=584114412. Error 0xC5, which in my case means that the second RAM slot on my motherboard is fried. Any RAM I put in there and I have all Seti crash with 0xC5, plus Windows do BSODs ranging from 0x0A, past 0x19 and 0x7F to 0x8E. The rest he can go figure out for himself. It's not very nice to go through his hundreds of VLAR killer results. |

I use the same ap_5.05r168_SSE3.exe installed by Lunatics' Unified Installer v0.2 on AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ (Vista32) and it works OK http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=1548196940 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=1552275349 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |
