This forum is not visible to you.

It might make sense to unsubscribed people to whom a thread is no longer visible, or at least make it possible for the person to do so by putting an "Unsubscribe" button on the "Unable to handle request" screen.

I have PMed the admin of the thread, but my original suggestion would be a general solution.

When someone is not able to see a thread and yet, for some reason is subscribed to it, then there should be a way for that person to unsubscribe without bothering anyone else to do it for them.

Yes, I did. And indeed it would be. But then, I cannot post to that team's threads anymore. (Hence the name of this thread.)

However, the generalized solution is not even in the realm of the team, but at a higher level. If a person is subscribed to any forum that they are not able to see, then that person should be given the opportunity to unsubscribe on the page that tells them that they cannot see that forum.

I suggest to solve the problem:

Leave your current team, join your old team, unsubcribe that thread and move back to your current team.

I had sort of a similar problem. I was subscribed to a thread that was hidden while I had a new post notice in my account. Attempting to go to the thread wouldn't make the new post notification go away. Finally a mod had to unhide it and after visiting the thread the notice went away.

If a thread is hidden all new post notifications and subscriptions to it should also be hidden/deleted automatically.

I suggest to solve the problem:

Leave your current team, join your old team, unsubscribe that thread and move back to your current team.

Thought of that. Will go with that method if nothing else comes up.

I added a change so that if a forum or thread is not visible to you, your subscriptions to it are deleted when you try to view it. I haven't tested it; let me know if any problems.

Maybe it deleted the subscription, but it didn't delete the notice on "Your Account" page.
