LOL skildude, you're replying to me...

So I can only say: "I can't" and "I never did so". :-)

You think he'll be back before his one hour edit time is up?

EDIT: Rig on a Bench just finished off about 1000 shorties so now it's onto 600 normal MB's and has around 1300 VLAR's that it's working through.

You're not alone. Nobody has gotten any workunits at all for the last about 15 hours. The system's been down, kaputt, broken, belly up, crashed, finito...

Everything came online again less than an hour ago.

Be patient, it will take time for everyone to get new work.

Edit:(maybe by the same time next year, it will have recovered)

Sten-Arne

I suspect the closet must have overheated or the power went wonky again. Even the setiathome.berkeley.edu website was down. Which is routed though the campus bandwidth. So the GB link dropping out shouldn't effect it.

Wanted: A server status page, or whatever it should be called, that shows what's wrong. Now it shows all is OK but that's not true.

No it doesn't. The page is not up to date:

[As of 22 Mar 2010 1:30:12 UTC]

I think that time is just about when I noticed the server problems started.

I blame the Berkeley HVAC tech who pushed the reset button on the air conditioner and said "oh it's working, everythings ok"

The AC unit tripped it's circuit protection for a reason.
Until that reason is discovered, the tech who made the decision to let it ride has put the entire projects hardware in jeopardy.

I guess the dry spell is over, at least until 4 PM. There are 60K results ready to send. I'm supposed to have 4 days worth of WUs but when I forced an update, I only got 1 WU. Tried it again, it didn't even request one.

What could I do to encourage more WUs to flow my way? All I really want is enough to compute through the scheduled Tuesday outages.

At the risk of being critical, I think S@H doesn't have sufficient funding / infrastructure to support the current client base.

OK. I'll tip up my rock and crawl under it again.

Don't worry about your pending total being high, you should see my blood pressure.
A few wu's might bring it down a point or two.
