Rapture? What rapture? 2012 is a load of BS, to put it lightly.
And yes, just for the record, I am atheist.

Id ask Angela for one last pun war, and Hope I could crush her:)

Since I would want Eric by my side you would have to play both of us. Combined we are formidable. You would not stand a chance...

Nah, turns it they found the top of the stairway and it was just Mick Jagger's dressing room. Easy to see how some people would think that's Heaven.

You know...........
I could be my silly self and posture with a statement like......

"One last bottle of Canadian Mist....LOL"

But, in reality? If I truly believed I was in my last hours?

I would be with my true love, Lori......
With all our kitties together.
Tiigger II, Bandit, Purrball, Squirrel, Callie, and Starbucks.
And of course, the memory of Oscar.

These things are what rule my life.......and whiskey, sadly.
But, if it all comes down to that.....I know where my last tears would fall.

Actually...........

I think the term 'rapture' is a Christina one,.....

And I don't wish to think that all my views are so, much less those of the rest of those on these boards.

I impose enough of my life's thoughts upon others here without trying to tell them how to spend the last few minutes of their life.

If you really talk about it, PM me.
That would be good.

Rapture came about 2000 years ago. Allah found no true believers to take. He left all the rest of us behind in hell and he isn't coming back.

Enough of the funny fictional question... let's ask a real question.

What are the "believers" going to do when the rapture doesn't come?

Thanx to you too gurl.

Even some dumbasses like me have a soul to save.

I know I come down like an idiot on the boards now and again.......and again.......and again.

But when it all comes down, I am human like everybody else.

My true belief? Aint gonna happen.
At least not like 2012, the movie.

As many believe, it will be a change, not the end.

And God, we need a change.

Love you and so many others, dear.

Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Just like science has dispelled nearly everything in the Bible, Christians (and all forms of it) continue to make up excuses or attack knowledge as evil instead of accepting the truth. The same will happen after December 21st, 2012 (I've seen many references of January 1st, 2013, which would be 11 days after the event is supposed to occur). Lots of excuses.

Agreed, Lots of uninformed and assorted Nutz, Thankfully none are edible, As if they were real nuts they'd be way too bitter. As It's M2K all over again as the same oh the world is coming to an end junk again, Besides It's just the end of a calendar cycle that the Mayans never updated and nothing else as they didn't make prophesies, They just attached stuff from elsewhere and some believed It, the Movie 2012 is a 3rd rate movie and is mainly a lot of hype about doom and gloom and I refuse to buy, rent or even watch It, ever.

I read a lot of books from Rudolf Steiner. Anthroposophists say that we've come at the end of a period (the 3rd post-atlantic culture period) and the 4th post-atlantic culture period is starting right about now in which conciousness of mankind will change drastically. It seems we will become more aware on a spiritual level and have more of a collective conciousness. Very interesting guy, that Rudolf Steiner. I recommend his books to everybody. But of course nothing 'fatal' will happen, like the end of the world or so...

Slightly off-topic, but: One of the things that bugs me is the use of the phrase 'end-of-the-world.'

If something cataclysmic happens in 2012, or next Wednesday, or in a thousand years, it'll not be the end-of-the-world. The end of human civilization, possible. But the world, Earth, has orbited Sol for about 5 billion years and will continue to do so until the Sun dies in another 5 billion or so. (That will truly be the end of the world, as in cooked to a cinder then blasted to bite-sized chunks.)

But before then, tho, the end of civilization is possible, even likely at some point, but the end-of-the-world, not for another 5 billion years or so.
Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.
