Saw the movie 2012 last night. Makes me think...
What would be the last thing i'd wonna do when I know the end is near, because it COULD happen, right?
It sounds as a cliché, I know, but I would spend the last days with the people I love and do the things I always wanted to do, but couldn't find the time for it or just wasn't important enough. Bungee jumping for instance YEAH...nice
I visited an interesting website on the matter, here's the link:
End of the world?
Normally I find this 2012 stuff a load of crap, but this website is kinda interesting...It's pretty realistic, for example, they tell you which preparations you could make to be on the safe side. Like Inward preparation of consciousness, the importance of food storage,... They call it "the 2012 Survival Basics"

I'm really interested how other people think of the matter and what they would do these last days...

I am more worried about what some people that really believe there is no tomorrow may do...Depending on how the media plays up this 2012 stuff I may have to get a gun.

Since this is a "what if" scenario, and I don't believe for a moment that the world is going to end or have any catastrophic event anywhere near that fateful date in 2012, and if the end of the world was so eminent that it was undeniable to all inhabitants, then I would simply gather with my girlfriend and her immediate family and try to make the most out of a horrible situation. We'd probably want to huddle around her father's grave so that the family could be complete one last time.

Realistic? I highly doubt any of It is more than simple hype and fear, I'll be here in 2013 on January 1st, Saying Booyah!

The Movie and book entitled When Worlds Collide was better, But then this end of the world stuff is not Mayan at all, It's just the end of the Calendar, As the Mayans didn't feel like extending the calendar then as It was good enough for the moment back then...

Interestingly enough, I considered this very question some time ago and after a long session of carefully thought out scenarios and judiciously scrutinized outcomes, I developed a flowchart to help me when the time comes....

(I also have a flowchart for RUPTURES, but that's another matter altogether.)

I'm not a Protestant. So, I'll be hanging around after this so called Rapture. I lieu of that I'll watch your pets after you are gone for a payment made now. And while you're at it can you sign your home and vehicle over to me on the specified date in 2012. As a twist could I also have the Power of Attorney for you so that I can act on your behalf when you are gone. I wouldnt want other non Believers getting their mitts on (y)our stuff

I'm not even a religious person so, being the evil, amoral person that I am, my plan is simple. A month or so before 'the event' I'll be selling, at obscene, astronomical profits, all the survivalist supplies that I will be amassing between now and then. The day after the event, I plan to retire to a life of wealth and luxury.

It was just a link to an old Blondie song. Just meant as a joke. :)
