I think You mean 13, As 12 landed on the Moon and 13 was forced to do an Apollo 8 around the Moon, I was watching on TV when It happened, So I know, But then I'm old enough. Oh, Ok. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

NASA, you are not impressing me recently. Nasa's not impressing you? Try here in the UK. Nasa has just extended the Cassini mission, but the UK built experiments/parts will go to waste because we can't afford the paltry £700,000 a year that it would cost to maintain/monitor it. The millions and millions spent already are now being wasted, and many careers and lifes' work of many people is being dumped due to the damn recession/near-sightedness of the idiots in charge. Not a happy bunny this morning, it has to be said. regards, Gizbar. A proud GPU User Server Donor! |

the Russians launch from a high inland plateau. An area that gets little weather, ever. The main reason that the US launches in Florida is that they can make a water landing away from people. The Russians just didn't/don't care about landing their misfired manned missiles over human population centers in Asia In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. I think the European Space Agency has built a Soyuz launch complex in Kourou, French Guyana, to launch in the Equator zone. Tullio |

With some mods to this system Here(Jupiter-246), It could replace Ares and cost less as It would need less money and still use the escape rocket, command and crew modules from Constellation. Sure the Jupiter wouldn't have as much payload capacity as the Ares V, Of course JUS needs only minor mods to existing facilities & equipment that are in use now for the shuttle and the JUS capability could You'd think be increased from about 120,000lbs to about 130,000lbs as NASA did say they only needed about 125,000lbs of payload capability, Where as NASA has said that Ares V will require expensive mods to their existing facilities. It was revealed not too long ago from a recording JFK did with JFK's voice on It and He said If It weren't for the Russians He would have killed the Apollo Program as the Apollo Program as President Dwight D. Eisenhower's baby. Good find, there are usually many Truths behind what Politicians do...I wish they taught History as History happened instead of how they wished it happened....
