Sorry.. Luke as Mod? Hmm.. people which had done this.. you know what you do? You know every person which you choose? If a Mod write this: [http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=56205&nowrap=true#947020]_message_947020 I would think a second time/twice if this person is well for the Mod status. Yes, I know - I don't make me friends with this post, but I think Mods should have a special kind of understanding/open mind. I saw in past posts of Mods - and I thought, hmm.. if I would be a Mod, I wouldn't write this. Mods are not officially persons of the project (they are 'only' like you and me), but visitors/guests of this forum could think this. So it would be better that Mods would think sometimes two times about that what they wrote/will write. Just my two cents. |

I am sure that Luke will do a fine and fair job. Mods are allowed to have their opinions too. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I trust the maintenance of a non racist forum will be top of the agenda. Welcome aboard luke, you will be sorely missed around the public seti forum as a contributer. Mind how you go!!! Norman Copeland. |

Sorry If I offended you in anyway. It's just a bit disheartening to see what the situation/predicament of S@H currently is in, the staff do a great job to keep this place running smoothly. ;). - Luke. |

Sorry If I offended you in anyway. It's just a bit disheartening to see what the situation/predicament of S@H currently is in, the staff do a great job to keep this place running smoothly. ;). No you didn't. Because I'm not in the supporter_list_top_20. Also if you would say this now to the supporter_list_top_40.. I wouldn't be offended.. because since some hours I have this little star near my nick. Yes, maybe it's only my opinion. If a visitor of this forum see 'forum mod' near the nick/avatar of a user, he would/could think this is an officially person of the project. I done this as I was new here around. And in past I saw few posts of different Mods, which wasn't very kindly. If a Mod say like 'shame on you' maybe it would be better to start and finish the post with [personal opinion] bla bal.. [/personal opinion] or like [mod off] bla bla.. [/mod off] or like [mod off] bla bla.. [mod on] If not you could/would chase off members, because this is a officially statement of the project? You Mods.. I mean all here around.. maybe you should think about. |

I don't think it's at all fair to expect mods, who also work on a voluntary basis, to not have the right to voice their own opinions. I thought I used the right language.. and it was clear what I mean.. I didn't said that Mods can't have their own opinion. But.. maybe with an extra hint if they post this own opinion. |
