Curious how everyone here feels about Avatar. On one hand it is clearly a huge CGI spectacle but the story feels like one I have read and seen many times. Are you planning on seeing it? Or will you give it a pass? Blog/Forum * Podcast * SETI Team |

I will watch the movie, when it comes on TV. LOL I hear you. My only concern is perhaps losing out on the experience of not seeing it on the big screen. I have this distinct feeling tho that this is going to get really terrible reviews...things like, "A feast for the eyes but a disaster of a story..." Blog/Forum * Podcast * SETI Team |

My littel boy loves the Avatar cartoon. I have the entire collection on DVD. So I will be seeing it on the big screen with him and buy the DVD when it's released. |

My littel boy loves the Avatar cartoon. I have the entire collection on DVD. So I will be seeing it on the big screen with him and buy the DVD when it's released. Two different movies. Avatar is an original movie. The Last Airbender is based on a cartoon series that aired on Nick called Avatar: The Last Airbender. The movie looks unpromising with a cast of average actors at best. Avatar on the other hand. Looks good. |

I suspect that most everyone knew that but threads, especially here in the Cafe, tend to take on a life of their own. :D Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

I'll probably miss it. It seems like a space odessey "Terminator" style movie In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
