Did Monsieur Le Peu's cousin get away Gary?

I assume he did. I don't think the poodle won. You do understand I didn't do a lot of investigation. Skunks eat snails and I'm okay with that.

Snails is about the fastest thing they can catch, hence the stench glands.

That is only about as fast as an average human - and humans are SLOW compared to most other mammals. The bit about snails was making a wee bit of a joke.

Thanks SJ. Very cute!

"Business" in our backyard seems to be slowing down for the season. Little Cat A has come by alone for treats a few times, but he (or she?) is so frightened of us that we can only observe him/her through closed windows. If we open a window, or dare even try to go outside, Little Cat A darts under the deck.

Eric saw Cilantro a few days ago, as hearty and robust as ever. He is a monstrously large raccoon!

Old Threesie has almost certainly passed away. It got to a point where she wasn't even able to eat the cat food I was soaking in warm water for her. She still came by looking for food, but she only pushed the food around. Then she stopped coming by altogether. Eric and I knew that the end was coming, but because the warm cat food initially seemed to work for her, I had some hope that she would be with us a little longer. I was wrong. It was a very short term solution.

This probably sounds insane to everybody, but Old Threesie will always have a special place in my heart. She was so tame and so very good at training us. Eric and I knew we were being used, but we loved every minute of it! I miss her. She was a very fine raccoon.

Well Old Threesie is hopefully in a better place now, With Raccoon chow and pure clean and cool fresh water.

And Yer welcome.
