BTW.
If you believe the swine flu couldn't be dangerous for you..
Take care!

In Germany a child came from vacation (Malta, near Sicily/Italy) and infected the whole class in school.

Its all a question of time.
I´m happy to live in a country where information is open to all.
Swine flu itself may be not so scary.
But if we remember its the first virus who can infect animal and humans as well.
I´ve seen a story about what happens if Swine flue mutates with HIV.
Not that funny.
We should allways remember the nature dont needs humans.
We need the nature.
The earth will survive when we passed away long time ago.
No matter ice ages or viruses.

HIV and influenza viruses are completely different. the idea that they'd combine is about as likely as a mosquito mating with a pelican. its just not happening

Sorry but you are wrong here.
Viruses like HIV just needs parts of an other virus.
No one though a human can be infected by an animal a few years ago.
Max Planck istitute stated it is possible.

Hi, odd enough, this Swine/Mexican-, or as they now call it New Influenza A type (H1N1), is the same type as the Spanish Flue in 1918 !?

And now we have a flue spreading in the summer, that's weird!

Ours today, but she had underlying medical conditions, so it doesn't count IMO, although her family will clearly think differently!

Flu can spread in Summer, but just more slowly. Our Chief Medical Oficer (Scotland) is more worried about the Autumn / Winter, when people stay indoors more, airborne viruses spread more easily and the Flu may infect a lot more people in the UK.

It is a tragedy when anyone dies of Flu (or anything else) but we must remember that Flu kills people every year. At least the Summer spread of this strain allows some planning time, in case it really gets going later in the year.

Looks like for whatever reason the spread of this cold / bug has really pepped up. 3 Schools in my town have all reported cases of it now. Thankfully it's still no worse than a nasty cold or mild flu at worse, but I think the real concern must be how easily it is spreading person to person in the Summer. I can only imagine how bad this will be come the Autumn when the weather conditions are better for viruses to spread!

Yes, it seems so indeed.
A friend of mine in London got it also.
