I'll throw in; support for selecting GPU (i.e. run the card in the secondary slot but not in the primary slot). |

in boinc-mgr ability to choose number of cores to do work 1+1, 2+1, 0+1, something like that ability to choose priority among projects, not the auto if i have 2 projects its 50/50, if 3 its 33/33/33. workunit stats, number of workunits crunched sence XXX, configurable ability to do as old boinc, "run as service, will run even if nobody is logged in" |

ability to choose priority among projects, not the auto if i have 2 projects its 50/50, if 3 its 33/33/33. Um, you have that ability already. The resource share number that you put in isn't a percentage. It may be translated to a percentage in BOINC, but the number is a weight on its own. So if you have Seti and Einstein and fill in 1,000 for Seti and 50 for Einstein, you'll see the percentages go toward those numbers. workunit stats, number of workunits crunched sence XXX, configurable Why? It's the most useless number after credits. Especially with the variable run time length that they have on this project and on other projects. It only takes up database space that can be better used for other things. ability to do as old boinc, "run as service, will run even if nobody is logged in" That's also still available. It's called the Protected Application Execution option, under the Advanced button in the installer. The only prohibition is that it doesn't work with CUDA when run in Vista, due to security problems that Vista throws up. A fix for that is being looked into and will eventually come, as will the ability to install BOINC 6 on Domain Servers. |

Nope, sorry, just getting my list ready for Santa, hope I can be good this whole year. And seeing as how the topic is "wish list", I thought it was suited to the thread, lol. If I had the cash I would load up a ton of these, I'm still waiting for someone to actually have/use one so I can see what they do besides kill my powersupply. I think i'll need to upgrade alot before I can handle one of these cards, but it would be VERY NICE. The other thing I forgot to mention is: if you spend $50-200 per card for your machine and get 10-30GFLOP per card, this card is the way to go as far as computing/credit is concerned. I really don't need the graphics it's just and added bonus to most cards. |

Have Boinc Manager incorporate all the functionality of BoincView that Boinc Manager lacks, So that Boinc Manager can manage and monitor multiple PCs from one place all at one time. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

BOINC manager can do that! All you have to to is open one manager window per PC ;-) Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

BOINC manager can do that! All you have to to is open one manager window per PC ;-) No, no! From one PC to all you have in your LAN. Just one window per PC. [edit] You can of course use only one window and continually switch PCs via "Advanced/Select computer" menu. [/edit] Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. As Gundolf says, you can use one BOINC Manager window per remote computer. I run two BOINC Managers constantly, one looking at the localhost, one looking at my TV server. Just using remote_hosts.cfg and self-set passwords. Very easy. |

Just using remote_hosts.cfg and self-set passwords. Very easy. I'd rather see BoincViews superior ability to monitor more than one PC at a time from one place and It also does monitor multiple projects all at once by just clicking on the logged in icon for the PC one selects. Instead of having separate windows as there is only so much desk space and only so much screen real estate. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

The CUDA FAQ suggests using... <cc_config> <options> <exclusive_app>somegame.exe</exclusive_app> ...to suspend BOINC when somegame.exe runs. What is needed is a similar thing to make a distinction between the CPU and the GPU, something such as this: <cc_config> <options> <nogpu_app>someUltra3Dgame.exe</nogpu_app> <limit_cpus_app>somegame.exe <n_gpu>1</n_gpu> <n_cpu>3</n_cpu> <use_gpu>xyzzy</use_gpu> </limit_cpus_app> . . . </options> </cc_config> ...where <limit_cpus_app> will limit the number of CPU/GPU that BOINC can use when somegame.exe runs, <nogpu_app> will specify that BOINC can use no GPU when someUltra3Dgame.exe runs, and <use_gpu> specifies the address/id/slot number/what-have-you of the GPU to use when somegame.exe runs. This will allow BOINC to continue running on the unused CPU(s) and GPU(s) (if any) while some game is using the other CPU and GPU. |

It's only a picture of course, This was a screen grab done with Paint Shop Pro 4.12 running under XP x64 that I altered abit. As this is what I meant earlier: The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
