Winning after venturing out to buy a replacement stove.

We had freezing rain overnight and almost 20 hours later, the cul de sac I live on still hasn't been salted. It's coated with a perfectly clear sheet of ice and it's been fun watching the cars sliding all over...

The city has not made out to your neck of the woods yet to salt the roads?

Have you got skates Mumps? I think it would look cool skating up and down the road.

With the state of the road, no skates are needed. I went sliding down the driveway with no effort... And the surface is perfectly flat as well, so not even any bumps to worry about falling over.

Being a cul de sac (dead end road) they quite often completely "forget" to do anything about it at all. There have been times it went unplowed for 3-4 days after a major storm...

I was laughing while standing in the drive as one of the neighbors came into the road and I just got to watch their car do a 180 as they kept traveling about 2 houses along before their momentum dissipated enough to stop.

When my brother-in-law tried to stop in last night, his 4 wheel drive Explorer slid from our house all the way to the end of the block (about 1/10 of a mile, slightly downhill) and was only stopped by the pile of snow at the end. He then very carefully traveled back to the driveway... :-)

Being at the end of a culdesac that is almost always forgotten by the snow plows until after the snow has melted is the reason my parents have always owned at least one 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Sidewinders ignore Chaff. ;)

And they commonly live in deserts. Coincidence? :-)

Not the right type, The ones that ignore Chaff, Are Heatseeking Missiles otherwise known as the AIM-9 Sidewinder.
