It's going to be on time this year, instead of 3 months early like the last 10 years ;)

We got down to -5.2C last night which is cold for the Southern half of the UK and exceptionally cold for a coastal town.

My house isn't well enough insulated to cope with -20°C, I'd probably freeze along with everything in it!

Well as long as the Gulf Stream current is still working You shouldn't have a problem, Otherwise... It would be colder than a Neanderthals butt outside there. :o

Otherwise ice age anyone??

That's precisely why we are suffering here this Winter. Our weather is coming from the North / East for the last month or so, not the warmer SW direction we are used to.

This is what I get to deal with tonight walking to work... and on the way home again...

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

SNOW WILL BEGIN FALLING IN THE YAKIMA AND KITTITAS VALLEYS EARLY THIS EVENING. SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE. ADDITIONALLY... BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS COULD CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THAT WOULD FURTHER REDUCE VISIBILITIES.

They're calling for a whopping high of 23F today. And 4 - 6 inches on top of the 6 inches that's left from the previous mess. I vote for 2 seasons only.... Spring and Autumn. Not too hot and not too cold. Its currently 3F at 9am... yippee..
The Universe doesnt always give you what you want... But it ALWAYS gives you what you need.

A very uneventful evening here. Some parts of the UK have snow. We have, well, nothing much at all. No wind, no precipitation, no cloud, nothing!

Snow in lots of the UK today, but nothing as exciting here, in fact, one of the warmest days for a long while.
