Bumping everybody else off to Win. ;)

But if you bump yourself, there is no advantage to winning...

I was pressed for time with a squirrelley internet connection and for a few minutes I lost the ip connection too.

more like Kill Joys. Tech support at Verizon seems to be like pulling teeth to Me, Very hard to get anything worthwhile done.

On study break??

I'm through with classes for the day; however, I have a counseling appointment in about a half hour to figure out what classes to take next term, and/or if I'm transferring to CSU East Bay.

Yeah, But I got It sorted without having to cancel the service at least.

In any case I'm back.

Very enjoyable, despite the torrential & relentless rain! The carnival is a yearly tradition in this part of England and it's a must for those that live in the area. Some people travel a long distance to come and see it too.

I was so wet when I got in I had to get out of the wet clothes and take a hot shower.

I'm about to stick some pics in the "big pics" thread.

Is this close to your recipe:

ROTKOHL OR BRAISED RED CABBAGE

1 head red cabbage, sliced thin
2 tart apples, peeled, chopped
1 onion, peeled, sliced
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 c. dry red wine
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. water
2 bay leaves
6 cloves

Put all ingredients into large Dutch oven. Simmer covered for 1 hour. Simmer uncovered until l liquid is mostly gone, about 45 more minutes. Freezes well.
