They got technical..... 6.5 items per plastic bag, 5.3 items per paper..... at least that's what they say.... I just wanna know how you have a .6 of an item?

Maybe you get to keep the rest as a tip?
BTW- a server as well? Next you'll want to be the manager...

Paper or plastic?

I always respond "yes."

Actually in training they specifically say not to ask that question. Instead you must ask if plastic is ok. The reason for this is because the price of 5 plastic bags equals the price of 1 paper bag ;)

But you cannot fit as much into a plastic bag.....
And paper bags are much more environmentally friendly....made from a renewable resource, and biodegradable.
I seem to recall reading that either Japan or China has already outlawed the use of plastic bags.......

Hope you get up and going in the new job without too much trouble.

And be careful driving with your new license.....

Its done just in the same way as they have found out that women in Norway gets 1,9 kids.. I have been Very lucky i got 2 whole ones. Lol.

But, perhaps the 1.9 kids would be easier..... LOL

hehe.. somehow i think it would have been worse ;-) ..you know..the missing link may be found in that 0,1 ..pP

Also.. im very sorry i forgot what i MENT to do in here;

LoL.. Congrats with your new job John! ;-) And the best of luck to you!

Maybe they want you to break up the six-pack and put the cans into separate bags to get the right quotient.......

Bag one, drink one, bag one, drink one.....LOL.

Actually.... I'm not allowed to bag it. In the state of Ohio you must be 21 to scan and/or bag ANY alcoholic items. I personally think this is a REALLY stupid law. Your not going to become an alcoholic or anything from bagging it!

They must have the same stupid laws here in Wisconsin........
I have had the checkout (whatever) stop dead in their tracks and have to call a supervisor just to scan the bloody bar code on a bottle of whiskey......

Well, Monday I start a new job. This means that I will be able to start thinking about building a quad core computer again! ;) :) :D

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We are green. We have two sizes of cloth bags that go to the store where we buy groceries. Some give a few cents credit, others enter in a drawing for a quarter C note. Makes no difference to us because we save a lot of plastic or paper that will never get burned or recycled.

Other green is setback thermostat in winter. And a hybrid vehicle for transportation. Nice to get zero gas used waiting in traffic jams and red lights. And the AC keeps running from the battery for a significant time. Stopping turns kinetic energy into battery charge.

Try it if you can find one. Four buck gas makes a lot of converts. NYC has requirement for new cabs being hybrids. Imagine Times Square filled with motionless cars with no emissions!

PS: chips don't go in first! Even though is saves a lot of space... < grin>

Great point!!! Commercial transportation should be the first place new rules are put into effect......
Forcing me to do anything driving only 6 miles each way to work would not accomplish near as much as the 24/7 truckdrivers or the cabby that brings me home from the tavvy......
