My machines are getting WU's now but they are only taking 15 minutes to complete on some of my bigger boxes. That equates to 32 WU every hour per dual quad.

If everyone else is getting quick WU's, the server is going to be really busy pretty soon. ;)

About the same for me. I've finished a couple and there are four downloads deferred. Probably a couple of hours and that will be completed.

Have a look at Josef W. Segur's post in Panic Mode On (8) Server problems thread.

... and if what Joe is saying is true (and he's generally pretty good on this stuff) then the project could really use some more "astropulse" out there. Anything that slows the tempo is good right about now.

I just checked on one of my "remote crunchers" one Astropulse WU 75 hours so far 57 to go, doesn't seem it even noticed the outage!

The server status page shows almost everything OK, but no action from my end.

I recieved about 150 WU's about a few days before the up/download problems. I have about 40 of them left... I just might be able to survive...

Getting new WUs but many get hung on download for an hour or so before they complete. Nearly everything coming through is a shorty, which means frequent round-trips to the servers.

Hi Luke, congrat's on your achieved goal for 2008, nice work ;)
Also got work now on my 3 QUADs and 1 C2D LT, only had AP WU's.

As I unstand clearly, they're in need off HD's in the first place.
SEAGATE SATA => 750GB .

Hi Ho
Can someone please post the URL's for the Cricket graphs and Scarecrows graphs. I'm away from home and don't have them bookmarked on this computer.

TIA

Does anyone remember the specific hardware they are using for the WU storage? I mean the mount point that the splitters and download servers use. I want to see what hardware donations options they need for more drive space. I.e., could they just add more drives, or do they need a whole drive cage/controller card, etc?

Isn't it funny how so often after a server outage the first units to come out are "shorties".

A good cruncher can knock one of these over in 15 minutes and is calling for work again practically straight away therebye increasing the load on the server before the backlog has a chance of clearing.

One would think some low AR units would be handpicked at the restart to slow things down a bit. I'm still getting server unreachable errors even though plenty of work is available and when you look at the graphs you can see why, it's pretty well maxxed out.

@web03 - Thanks for the links
