how do you take a screenshot of boinc i want to put a pic of how it paused lhc to go to cpdn

-1- use ALT + PRT SCR and paste the now copied active windows into paint or an other grafic tool allowing reducing image size.

or use a Hardcopy tool (I use freeware from www.gadwin.com )

-2- look for web site for "free" image hosting

-3-upload the image (perhaps first reduce imagesize)

-4- copy paste generated html code

-5- check and edit..

Gadwin Print Screen is a free program that works pretty good. It saves automatically to your pictures folder. It saves a lot of hassle. You can find it here.

Another good freeware prog for screen capture (and more) is Irfanview

Another one to try is at AnalogX. I've used this one for a few years: it's simple and it works. Put it in your start menu and it's always handy.

All I do is Alt + print screen and open up word pad and then do a cntrl v and there it is.... Have not figured out how to do anything with yet but I will.....Works much better the way John stated.......

Once you have the image, you can then refer to it in a html file as:

<img src="c:\directory\file.jpg" />

This will pick up the image and display it on the page you have composed.
