I've seen the same thing happen occasionally too, but I don't have a clue what causes it. |

I think, but I am not certain that if the GUI is left open behind another window, and during the time that it is in that state, it needs a scrollbar, it is hosed until BOINC is stopped and restarted. |

> What OS? > What Browser? You asked for it, you got it....: --------------------------------- My PC is a "no name" brand. (I call it "Ricks-Puter".) That's because I build my own and put it together with as top of the line as my pennys can cover. This is my 4 month old: Mid tower case w/350W power supply ASUS motherboard P4P800 Deluxe with: - 865pe Intel chipset - 800Mhz FSB - Dual channel DDR 400 Ram populated w/512MB - Intel SATA w/Raid - Gigabit Ethernet LAN - USB 2.0 (only 4 ports so far) Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.8Ghz w/Hyper-Threading and 1MB L2 cache GeForceFX 5600xt Video card w/128 MB DDR ram 8X AGP LiteOn 8X DVD+/-R /4X +/-RW 40X CD-R 24X CD-RW Re-writer 120 GB Western Digital Serial ATA 150 Hard Drive Windows XP - Home Edition w/SP1 This is the best and fastest box I've built to date. I love it.... --------------------------------- I haven't a clue as to what my browser has anything to do with the disappearing scroll bar in BOINC, but just in case it helps, I'm using Mozilla v1.7.2. > Any OS, and it is in the GUI. Nope! I have BOINC on screen right now behind Mozilla and the scroll bar is still visible. Yesterday, when it happened, I did not have anything else on the screen. Someone in another forum stated that it is a known issue, but it has a low priority for getting fixed. Ahhh, problem solved! It's in the BOINC code itself. This is a "known" problem. with the new GUI in the works we can just live with it for now ... Sometimes stoping and re-starting BOINC will fix it, sometimes you need a reboot ... <p> For BOINC Documentaion: Click Me! |
