Greetings all,

And congrats on everyones milestones.

I seemed to have missed my 9th SETI birthday a few weeks ago.

In about a month, it will be my 4th BOINC birthday, July 18th.

Woohoo!!!!

Just a few minutes ago I finally broke 600. While this may look like a modest value compared with all the humongous RACs I see here, it was achieved with a single core processor, not OC'd except for the 5% Asus normally adds to its ratings.

The processor is an AMD Athlon 64 running at 2200 Mhz (11 x 200) single core. The mobo is an Asus A8S-X. Stock cooler. Running AK's optimized application for SSE3.

I broke 500 on May 28 and it took less than a month to break 600.

:-)

Four achievements in the last few days

1) Made the world top 5000 in total credits

2) Broke 800,000

3) Made world top 500 for RAC

4) As of 0200 UTC today, made the Oz Top 100. (Just under "Beds are Burning" by Midnight Oil <grin>)

Mentioned this to "The Significant Other" and was told "That's nice dear". (Which it is)

2.5 months into seti I've just broken the 200k mark. I just added another Q6600 to replace the BE2350 so hopefully this will reduce my time to 1.25 months for another 200k and by then I'll have a 3rd quad core crunching away. 1 million here I come!

Not being the posessor of a particularly fast machine and without access to fast ones at work either, it has taken me justt over 9 years to reach 250,268 Seti cobblestones. I don't care. I feel really great and I'm proud to have had the chance to get to a mere quarter of a million!

And so you should be. Just because some have access to (farms of) fast machines does not make your contribution to the cause any the less valuable.
