I remember when some people here (including me) missed out on the chance to send our names to Mars as part of the Phoenix mission. Well here's a chance to send your name to the Moon aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. Join NASA's Return to the Moon! Names will be collected and placed onboard the LRO spacecraft for its historic mission bringing NASA back to the moon. You will receive a certificate showcasing your support of the mission. http://lro.jhuapl.edu/NameToMoon/index.php |

Well here's a chance to send your name to the Moon aboard the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. Took only a few seconds to submit my name and download the certificate in PDF format. No charges. |

I was a bit suspicious of the web page as there is nothing else on that website except that page. But i checked it out and NASA do have this as a story on their missions website; http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/main/index.html So my name is going to the moon also! Thank you BentStar, that was fun!....Kinda exciting! John. |

I was a bit suspicious of the web page as there is nothing else on that website except that page. Actually, the link to the LRO website is at the very bottom of the submission page I initially provided. You probably overlooked it due to the small text. http://lunar.gsfc.nasa.gov/ |

@ Melt - good lookin' avatar Sir . . . hello Dr. C.E.T.I! thank you, my friend - that's very kind of you! Unfortunately, my computer is misbehaving - I didn't realize the alteration had been processed! So your comment is embraced with double-gratitude. I'm also very pleased by the idea of my name going to the Moon. I think I'll make a glossy print of the certificate, and set it within a frame. that would have worked if you hadn't stopped me |
