Work week wrapup. No major news outside of things I already posted here and elsewhere. People are out sick. Man there's been a lot of nasty bugs going around this year. I've been catching up on minor nagging items. Mostly cleaning up the lab - some recently donated servers are stuck waiting on fedora core 9 to be released as well as having no place to physically put the things to set them up. We have a lunch table in the center of the lab piled with random stuff so we're all eating lunch at our desks. Also worked on donation system upgrades. The IT people on campus are now allowing us to pass hidden user ids which will vastly increase my ability to match green stars to specific donators (we've been relying on people entering the right e-mail address on the donation form). Some updates to the boinc web interface broke a few pages - I fixed all that. Yeah.. lots of the usual day-to-day tasks.

Matt, the stats export has apparently been down for the last 48 hours... I've reported a number of WU's in this time, gotten credits on S@h, but they aren't showing up on the stats sites!

KWSN has gotten updates the last couple days, my stats have been updated.

Maybe you are not looking at enough stat sites to see that they are actually working.

The replica server (sidious) where we collect these stats got a day or two behind after the outage, and only caught up, I think, last night. So stats were being generated and pushed out, they just were stuck in the past for a bit.

That's OK, I know quite a few people like that as well.

Pooh bear, I check all 6 stats sites (daily, except KWSN [weekdays only]) listed on the "account" page... and, (at the time I wrote, at least!) none of them had any S@H for Wed. or Thur.

So you're saying that it is like the butcher who backed into his bandsaw, and got a little behind in his work?

(evil laugh...) guess who's watching Sweeney Todd at the moment? :)

There were exports, as KWSN did pick them up. The issue was there was no change in the data in the exports. The nice thing on KWSN site is you can see how many hours ago the export was updated. This is how I knew it was updated daily. They do check to make sure it is a new file before downloading. I just didn't realize the numbers didn't change as I do not keep that close of a track.

OK, so maybe the stats export wasn't at fault... I just go by whether my stats show up! ...and in my prior, I meant that none of my stats had shown on any of the 6 stats sites.

Don't know if this is the right thread for this, but:

There is something wrong with the layout of "Computers on this Account".

If I select "Your Account" on the fontpage, and then select "View" at "Computers on this account" the information given is bogus :-)

My total credit is apparently "AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor [x86 Family 16 Model 2 Stepping 2]", and my CPU is an "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, (05.01.2600.00)"....

The columns, from "Location" and to the right, seem to show the wrong information..

I don't know for how long it's been doing this, just noticed it today.

I have exactly the same problem.
Check the contents of columns below Location, Avg credit, Total Credit. CPU type and Operating System. Something is 'broken' in the 5.10.45 download currently offered from the SETI site. I seem to recall that the now missing column used to identify the project.

Then there was a brightlight. Somewhere. And the misalignment of data on the "Your Computers" page was corrected. And that data in the CPU column changed. Mysterious. Must have been pink noise or a check of our observational prowess.

Just asking, not complaining.
Was the "current tasks" information left off the page intentionally?

If it matters, I don't like the new computers page; I miss being able to see the number of tasks for each computer and link to them directly. The 'new' table forces me to drill down on each computer, which is a pain and makes this project even more irksome. I suppose the change is for the better (for someone).

Strongly agreed. If space is a problem and you must get rid of something, get rid of the OS (especially in it's abbreviated form) or even the CPU Type, but lets see the tasks.

Agree with bringing the tasks back, and while we're griping Matt, any chance of putting the pending total on the account page instead of having to download a very long page of pending WUs before getting to the answer? It'll save some bandwidth.

I could suggest a reorganisation of the fields in the WU/tasks/results pages to make naming referencing and navigation easier, but that'll take more concentration than I'm capable of at the moment!

Cheers,
Andy.

This subject is now being covered in the Your Computers Page thread. The format is still fluid, but the link is back! Yaaay!!!
