Excuse me, what is/ where can I find more information about andyk and his "app".

Paste a few pages of results into an excel sheet and weed out the rubbish.
Calculate another column: = 3600/time * score * 24 * #cores.
Average the results to get a theoretical maximum RAC. Easy!

In fact, boinc could easily provide this current theoretical RAC on the account page just based on current unexpired results, as well as the pending score without having to open another page containing all of them.

I had posted the theory long ago that the RAC might include pending credits.......

Thanks, guys. Okay, I've seen that a couple times before, am running now across my 4 hosts to compare with my pending predictions.

Andy can only quantify the past, but we're looking to the future...

Useful!

I think it would be helpful to get the most recent n results or last n days and in addition to credit/hour also provide credit/day as this is the unit (RAC) that we all use.

BoincStats has a wealth of information, though sometimes slightly out of sync for the detailed views, IMO.

Thurston is the host running Vista.

hmmm, this technique puts my Wolfdale@3.6GHz at around 4500 RAC ... Cool... (Did a test run.. switching back to 2.4V for the time being, as I won't be here to supervise if something goes wrong)

Thanks JD, I had bookmarked it a few days ago to see what it's up to.

I'm currently tackling a Linux/IPP port of Alex's code, and it's a monumental task, so I take my hat off to you...

Thurston should overtake my QX9650 within the next couple of days, if the current RAC rate rise is maintained.

My RAC is dropping on both my Quads, without any significant rise in pending. Looks like my WU diet is stringy and low on carbs.

I will need the nourishment of the Jason and others Alex code port to rev up again!
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Thanks for the warning - the 2 inches we woke up to this morning has cleared but the sky IS very grey and threatening :(

PS Bet I am nearer the middle (of the UK).

Center of UK according to one estimate is Dunsop Bridge, I'm within 15miles of there.

Host = Thurston: Q6600

Walter Winchell used to open his broadcast with: "Hello Mr. and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea."

I'm sorry, but that phrase holds a bit of nostalgia for me... though born in 1958, it was probably a bit before my time. So was Humphrey Bogart, and he is one of my all-time favorite actors. Too bad he had to keep up the "macho smoking image" on screen. I digress.

Thurston fell a bit short of my predictions for today. Yep, he ran ~2 hours of "uncredited" benchmarks last night, and equally as much today plus a little "AK_WhalePort v0.3" work on the side. I make no excuses, but as stated much earlier in this thread, Thurston is not a dedicated S@H cruncher. He is my "desktop" system and does much more than crunch WUs.

So here it is, midnight in my time-zone and Thurston sits at #31 in the "Top Hosts" list, just 50 RAC below my prediction of 24+ hours ago. Put your seat belts on folks, in less than 24 hours I will update my prediction for Thurstons RAC to be reached in ~10 days or less. The number is no longer 6500!

Guesses welcome...

BOINC 'til it hurts,
JDWhale

Seems you are toying with us...Hopefully you will release to the rest of us soon so we can play too....

In the middle of germany the snowfall started an hour ago. 10+cm already and the temperature dropped 10 Kelvin within 2 hours.

Nice work JDWhale and jason gee on the AK code port. Hopefully Linux is not left out, especially with the new possibilities of the 4.3.2gcc.

I would expect the Linux port to use the intel compiler because it is faster then gcc unless something has changed lately.

Yeah the Weather has been weird alright, But Climate change does happen, Sunspots do tend to have a being on the weather and more of them instead of less of them like now means more Glacial Ice and stuff from what I've read and seen on the History and discovery channels. :D And that 10cm is near 4", Not a bad start.
