Suddenly getting the following on one computer. No changes to the system, started all by itself. I have tried restarting the system, flushing the dns cache but problem continues. I have suspended network activity since it keeps trying every 11 seconds with no backoff. The computer is still crunching, hope I can get these reported tomorrow.

Which BOINC? What kind of system and OS?
Did you get any Windows updates in?

What if you ping Seti from that machine? Can it reach home with a ping and a tracert? See this FAQ for info on that.

Have you tried re-starting BOINC? I seem to recall a problem at at Berkeley that caused this that did not automatically go.

Every Tuesday the servers at SETI are down for maintenance, down time is about 4 hours. You could try to have enough WU on your machine and sync with them later.
