Hello Dear Friends!!!

Well, I went out for dinner tonight for the first time since Dad died. I went to my favorite Italian restaurant, they have a girl that plays real nice classical piano on Friday nights. I had my favorite dish, "Gamberoni Diabolo", that's shrimp and sea scallops with bits of roasted garlic, tomatoes and onion in a cream sauce, your choice of pasta. I chose penne rigoni, those small tubes with the grooves along their length. I took Dad there once; he doesn't care for Italian food but he said he enjoyed it. I kind of reminisced about our dinner there together that night. It was a quiet evening, but a pleasant one.

Well, the weekend's finally here! I hope all of you have a real nice one. :]]

GOD BLESS!!!

Beets

Sounds like a wonderful evening.....hope the atmosphere was as enjoyable as that rigoni sounds like it was.....yummy....Italian is my fav too......right up there with a good slab of steak....

ROTFL!!!! That's just Italian exhuberance, Dan. It's tasteful, has table cloths, nice posters on the walls..but it's not all that expensive. Most of the pasta dishes are around $12.95 so you can eat and not kill your wallet. :]]

Yeah, that was good last night. Today though, I slept away the whole afternoon and didn't even make any supper! :[[

Oh well...one day at a time.

At least you should be caught up on your sleep. My Saturday was a pretty typical one. I went to Kroger to get some steaks for dinner, which I ended up not even having, and then my aunt called and we ended up going over to her house to see these two:

Hi Andy, Richard, Albert!!!

Well, I got my shopping done, but get this: you can't buy anchovies in my little burgh for love or money! I had to buy some anchovy paste (for my Caesar's salad). AAARGH! This town is getting more provincial every day!

But anyways, I had a great big salad for a snack when I got home. The trouble is: two hours later, I'm hungry again. *sigh* I guess I'm just a carnivore at heart.

I'm drooling right along with you, Andy! LOL
