Now I SEE why you named him Charcoal! Beautiful cat!
BTW, we used to have as many as seven cats running around, but since we "inherited" two dogs and one of them had puppies, now that the puppies are nearly full grown they chased all of our kitties away! No more "rat-catchers"! :(

And a kitty update.......

Starbucks, the new adoptee, is settling in wonderfully in his new home......
It is just so obvious to see what a happy kitty he is becoming!!!

And more importantly, the prior members of the clan, Callie and Oscar, are becoming quite alright with the new arrival as well.

Oscar, the other male who was throwing hissy fits (literally) at Starbucks when he first arrived, is quickly becoming best buds with his new pal. A couple of days ago, Lori found them laying on the living room floor together, as happy as could be. And last night they both took turns playing catch games with some of their favorite toys, and there were no signs of any problems.

They have been left together in the house while Lori was away at work for several days now, and no problems whatsoever. So it appears that Callie and Oscar have accepted Starbuck fully into the fold........

I had a bit of trouble when I introduced Sonar the kittie to my other cat Zazo...
But they get on fine now...

Gawd......I do luv Maine Coons....I will own one (or more correctly in kittyspeak, be owned by one) one fine day.......
I am actually going up north to Green Bay tomorrow to check out the bi-annual kitty show.....I have seen some amazing Maine Coon cats there.
Lori's Oscar kitty is a Maine Coon mix.......large percentage of Coon in him though, and I can see what they say about the breed.....soooooooooooo laid back and friendly......
