We've become Wendy's fans....

Their Chicken Fillet really is good

We don't have Wendy's here. Only McDonald in my town...

None of the above. Take the fast food hamburger test. Order a hamburger without anything on it, throw away the bun, and just eat the plain meat. You'll quickly see why it is that they slather on copious amounts of sauces and condiments on the meat...it's to hide the taste.

But that's what everyone does. Rare indeed is the person who eats a plain hamburger. They slather a bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup, mustard and mayo among many many other things.

Why? Because plain cooked ground beef isn't very good, whether McDonald's made it or whether someone grilled it at home. The condiments are to "hide," or better, to compliment, the taste.

Admittedly, the one at home likely tastes a little bit better, but few and far in between are the people who actually like a plain dry burger. Regardless of the source.

I'm glad we got that clarified...
=====================================

I prefer burgers from Burger King and fries from McDees.

Once I ordered from BK drive through and drove a mile to get the fries.

I kill 2 birds with one stone this way. I support the cattle farming which burns off the rain forest and pollutes the atmosphere by driving more.

All of McDonald's beef for their Australian operation comes from a ranch just south of the Tulley river on the north Queensland coast...it used to all be rain forest...but they tell everyone in the US that they don't use rain forest land...BS! They also are proud that their hamburgers are 100% pure beef, but they don't go into all the anatomical parts of the cow that they use, but it is all bull.

You must buy your hamburger meat in those none see through packages with a 30% fat content. A good hamburger all by itself is delicious, especially when it is properly cooked.

Like I said, there are a some people that eat them this way, but they are "few and far in between."

Again, like plain burgers, very few people use dry ground beef in tacos or crumble it over pasta. They do just as fast-food burger places do and load them up with other stuff. That a very few happen to like burgers that way doesn't change the point.

I wasn't suggesting that many people liked it that way. I stated that as a test of quality only which most fast food hamburgers fail miserabley as compared to high quality meats, such that may be served at normal restuarants, like a hamburger steak. But as you should know by now, in Britian they only cook their hamburgers well done, because of the possibility of Mad Cow disease. Some of their hamburgers are so over cooked as to come out as a hot semi-dry form of beef jerky. I know, been there, got that...

I find the crumbs of the burger meat get stuck in the keyboard of my Big Mac, and the grease splatters on the 301 inch TFT monitor screen.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

How come they never look like that when I open the box? They are more flat, and sometimes they are just slapped in the box, so the buns and the hamburgers and cheese and all are all mixed so I'll have to gather it all before I'm even able to take it out of the box. Sometimes they have to be eaten with knife and fork for not to be greased down to your elbows! :-/

Also when it comes to these Government health initiatives, I don't like the way they treat everyone as if they were the same.
Women are apt to put on more weight than men, especially as they get older. They carry more fat around because they have to bear children.
Also according to one study that was carried out in the UK some time back, doctors reckoned that it was less risky for a woman to be 'fat' than it was for a man. Whereas 'thin' women tended to be at greater risk from heart attacks than 'fat' ones, it seemed to be the other way round for men.
But these studies do keep on changing. Nevertheless, it was interesting and shows that placing a blanket set of rules over everybody does not necessarily make it any fairer.

Foamy made a rant about fast food.

Here it goes:

Neurotically Yours: Episode # 061: Foamy's Rant IV

Heeeey, how’s it going? I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’m tired of going into fast food restaurants and seeing little fat-kins approved menus!! Go f*** yourself with a f***ing loaf of bread! Stop shoving this fat-kins thing in my face! When I go get fast food, I know its bad for me, but I don’t care, I like it, and I’m gonna eat it, I don’t wanna have to see signs, reminding me of, how bad of a diet I’m on.

“You’re not eating right, so we’re gonna have to put fat-kins approved menus on there for people who want to eat an alternative healthy lifestyle.”
You wanna eat an alternative healthy lifestyle? Grow some vegetables in your backyard, pick em, and eat em, and make your own d*** salad! Stop cluttering up my fat filled menu, with your stupid low carb crap! Okay?

For all the dieting you people do, for all the makeovers and all that other crap that you people do to make yourselves all attractive…You’re all gonna grow old, you’re all gonna get wrinkles…And you will all, eventually, die, so yeah, the super size fries aren’t good for you, but neither are the f***ing pesticides in your salad alright. So, basically we’re all choosing how we’re gonna die, let me kill myself in peace, okay? You f***ing controlling b***ards!

These are the same type of people who spew out a fact sheet of everything that’s gonna go wrong with your body because you had to have the large fries. You know what? Next time someone tells you the health ramifications of the food you’re eating, why don’t you tell them about the health ramifications of you [Edited out some violent act which might not be kid friendly]? Maybe that’ll shut em up, and you can enjoy your meal.

...
