Yeah, but that hasn't been an option lately. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Cheers for the update Matt, I prefer the ones with info.. lots to read (and try to understand). It also distracts me from the task of having to restart other projects in BOINC. ;) |

This board is called tecnical news. Most people must understand what that means and expect technical news here? :) /TB |

This board is called tecnical news. Most people must understand what that means and expect technical news here? :) Please note the little smilie at the end of my post. I was trying to bring a little bit of humor to this latest problem. So far I have seen one machine run out of work,a second down to about 4 hours and my third not much longer. I could either cry or tease Matt. I chose the latter,. Sorry if you are offended. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

I'm not offended. But I wondered why Matt Lebofsky was afraid that he was to technical when the message board is called tehnical news. I expect technical news about the seti@home project when I enter here. /TB |

I’m still hoping the splitters get turned on this morning. Disks should have rebuilt yesterday with sufficient time to back them up to tape. Turning the splitters back on would provide another data point on what is causing this. Wasn’t thumper upgraded to four cpu's lately? Maybe this is power related, also good idea to inspect for bulging capacitors. |

I keep adding projects to keep workstations busy. Started with SETI, added Einstein, then Climate, then Climate BBC, then World Grid, then Rosetta, then Predictor, and just added Spinhenge. That's eight projects. At the moment, only four of them are generating work (Einstein, Climate, World Grid, and Spinhenge). I typically run four or five projects on a given workstation, with all the outages (or shutting down of the projects -- Climate BBC and for all intents and purposes Predictor), that's meant I've been adding projects to workstations to compensate. For example, workstation which had been running Einstein, BBC Climate, Rosetta and Seti, now has World Grid, Spinhenge and Climate as well. It has been a bit of a scramble this week with two 'heavy hitters' encountering problems (Rosetta and SETI). In my collection, Spinhenge becomes the big winner -- as I just added that project less than three weeks ago and already am in the top 40 RAC for it. Ok Matt, you have 5 hours left to get this thing fixed. That's all the work I have left. :) |

thank you Matt, the splitters are comming on line 3 out of 15:) Ducks are Hammering michigan, and my dog is hungry for some kitties and bunnies:) it's turning out to be a good day. Heck a good week... Was riding my Fatboy home from work the other day when the light turned red ahead of me. For some reason I decided to change lanes to the left hand center lane, and stop at the red light. A few seconds later WAM, the lady I WAS behind gets rear ended by another bitch who is busy texting! Good thing the Fatboy is alright. |

I just picked up 15 WUs on one of my machines!! Not neccesarily. The Scarecrow graphs may have picked up a wee bit of splitter activity. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
