When Boinc first came out it worked on all my Computers. Now it only works with window XP. I install BOINC it runs Benchmarks and then freezes up on windows ME. Does anybody have a fix for this? Thanks.

There are posts in this forum about a bug in 4.05 that causes 98 and ME to freeze.

Look for version 4.07 or 4.08 ... those will solve the problem. (Easy enough to find if you read a few of the above mentioned threads - cant make it TOO easy for you) *smile*

I have read several of the message postings they say 4.07 version seams to be the better of the versions. But I dont know where to down load boinc web site only has 4.05.

They have now v4.08 there. DO NOT USE IT IF YOU HAVE A MODEM, see here

Step 1: Uninstall Windows ME
Step 2: Install better operating system.
